I don't know about you, but I have never entered a bar and been scared out of my wits. At least, not since last Friday, when walking into the Shunt Vaults under London Bridge tube Station. Going to this bar was a completely effing and blinding experience. The whole ordeal firstly petrifed me to the core, and was even scarier than watching The Shining in a ram-shackle house in Dorset. This may sound melodramatic, but this is only because the seething red lights were so effective and because the entrance is so pitch black and I was scared of monsters. Then the evening improved the moment I actually found the bar. You could say that the bar was the only thing that differentiated this from the London Dungeon. Excellent choice if you are bored of pubs and want something a bit more ball-grabbing. There are also sensational theatrical performances which are shown. Unfortunately I was enjoying the bar too much to see these. Go there while it is still free to get into. (The first month only).

I woke up this morning wishing that I could remember more of last night. All I knew for certain was that drinking frozen lemon margaritas was like drinking paradise.

Confirmation of events came in the form of an Instant Message, from Hatti, at 10am: "Do you have a hangover? I tried cyclying back to Clapham but kept finding myself in Camden! Jesus!" There must have been some magic ingredient in that chocolate chicken. Magic is good word to summarise Mestizo, for all it's attributes are unexpected for such an off the beaten track area. Authentic Mexican food that drove Hatti to subconciously impersonate a gluttonous Mexican mama and a dashing drinks menu, dressed to kill. Head downstairs if you are a female and want to be twirled senseless by lots of Latino men! Try the tacos for 1 each and don't forget your balls and some taxi money.

Right. Don't be scared. Get your asses down here for some serious fun. We can sort out what happened to your dignity later....the theme is 'shameless' and don't let anyone stop you. After a few minutes in a Lucky Voice booth you can feel it vibrate with desperately out-of-tunes. Pure hilarity. You can't help turning into a diva when you are licked with the Lucky Voice fever! (See, its happening now, just at the memory). Basically, I thought that my house mate Jon was taking the Michael when we were led into a private booth with a kareoke machine - but after a while I didn't want to leave. Jon didn't either. The cleaners had to literally carry him out. This place is for people who need an excuse to sing their souls out. Its emotional. Easy on the drinks though. If it gets out of control you may have to swallow a month's salary.
