The people here are friendly and the food is regularly good quality. I preferred this Indian retaurant to the Mumtaz Indian restaurant in Thornbury. The waiting time is quite long as with most Indian restaurants I have been to. The interior is quite nice.

I went here at an end of year party and hadn't had much to drink, so it could be that if you are drunk you will enjoy it.
As it was quite late we were charged £6 which after going in there I wasn't too happy about.
It is relaxed in a way, but almost a bad way. The age range was about 17 - 30 and many people were drunk. The rooms were quite good, but quite dark and a little shabby. Downstairs was more crowded so we went upstairs. There were lots of rooms with sofas in but the music is too loud to talk and you may get a couple stumble in and start making out. On the dance floor it is best to stick in groups unless you want an unemployed, drunk, hooliganesk 28 year old rubbing his overhanging belly on to you. You do feel like you are being preyed on from all angles.
Toilets aren't really a good option.

Greenhouse review
A lively bar with planty of seating and a dance floor. Gets very busy with quite a lot of young people. It varies between friends going for a drink or a dance to people on the pull.
No entry charge and good value drinks and food are definately a bonus.

Great atmosphere in here. Everyone was friendly and when we were sitting there a while we got a free round of mojitos as they had misheard someones order. Theres a long list of cocktails to be had here and each one I tried was good.

I enjoyed it in here on a Friday night. The live duo on their guitars were amazing and everyone got into it. It was very crowded and dark, so we had to swim through the crowds and wait for a table. Had a friendly lively pub atmosphere.

Private hire of raised floor
I went to a party in the raised part of the bar. Had a good evening, with no trouble and average priced drinks. There was a live DJ later on.
Quite a simple layout and simple interior and furniture.
It had quite a lively atmosphere but it didn't get rowdy.

Cocktails at Las Iguanas
I went here with a group of friends at about 7. It was busy already, but we managed to get a table and chairs.
Buy one get one free on the cocktails was good and we tried several Latin American types, at average prices.
The Barmen were happy and made the mixing interesting to watch.
It is very atmospheric inside, with unusual decorations and lighting. Quite cosy and lively.

Gusto review
I went here because I had a buy one get one free ticket on the paninis or baguettes. We took our paninis away as there wasnt much room to move inside and the weather was good outside.
We weren't very impressed with the paninis, they got really soggy and I only ate half of mine because I didn't like it and my husband wasn't that impressed by his panini.
Think I'll go for something sweet or maybe something with cheese in next time, if I do go back.

Starbucks Borders review
I found this Starbucks quite busy and noisey. It isn't very cosy as it is part of the book shop, but it is good if you want a break from shopping around Borders and Paperchase.
I had a fantastic eggnog from here at Christmas, I would definately recommend one of those!
I prefer the Starbucks on Park Street about a minute away.

At first glance, this looks like a very small Starbucks cafe, but there is a downstairs floor with some sofas and tables and chairs to give more space for busy times. Quite comfy.
Very good if you like coffee, but if you don't, their hot chocolate is good. It isn't that cheap in there, but its a similar price to other places around Clifton and that area.
