I finally made it up to NA on Sunday and it was definitely worth the drive up the steep hill for. Situated right at the foot of the monument in Genova, NA has views of the entire Bay of Palma and beyond. It is absolutely stunning!!

Once inside we were wowed by the very funky and extremely stylish decor. Very arty, it is tasteful and modern. Service is Spanish style (helpful, accommodating, friendly, leisurely) and the menu is varied; including many dishes for all types of taste buds! We were a party of three - one pure veggie, one fish eater with an allergy to mushrooms and a carnivore with an aversion to carbohydrates and we managed to find choices for all of us.

The chef started us off with a plate of 'something special'. We then shared two starters including a stuffed spinach which was scrumptious :-) I then went on to have the seabass which was wonderful. My friends had the lasagne and a risotto; both looked nice and were apparently delicious :-)) Meanwhile we were sat infront of the window with an awesome view!

Really would recommend the trip up here, but if like us you are going on a Sunday I would recommend you book. It is very popular and the place filled up fast after we arrived.

Amazing Indian, on a par with Chutney Mary!!
Recently opened in February 2008, BridgePort is a Mediterranean bistro by day and an Indian restaurant by night. Situated right on the frontline they have amazing views of the Port and a fantastic view across the bay.

Having eaten in Khan's (Diane & Errol's other Indian restaurant on the island) I thought I knew what to expect when I went to BridgePort for dinner on Saturday night ... but I was absolutely blown away by the food. Possibly the best Indian I have ever eaten and we both agreed, definitely on a par with Chutney Mary in Chelsea.

The decor is stylish and very smart, service was attentive and friendly and the food was out of this world!!!

To start we shared a portion of vegetable samosas. They were light, crisp, very tasty and dry (in opposition to oily) Then I had tandoori fish which was absolutely mouth watering. It arrived on a sizzling dish and the fish was sat on a bed of onions. It did come with a side dish of rice but there was so much fish I didn't get that far! My friend had a mushroom curry which was equally delicious.

I can see that I will be eating here a lot!!! ....

Mallorca has more than it's fair share of incredible restaurants and this is one of my all time favourites. Set in the very fashionable Santa Catalina area of Palma, Living is a trendy restaurant offering good fresh food and wonderful service.

I have eaten here many times and always had an incredible experience. Food is based on a fusion of flavours from Mallorca, Italy, Spain and Greece; it works!

Watch the world go by ....
Right in the centre of Puerto Portals, Wellies is the ideal place to sit and watch the world go by. Known for being the waterside haunt of the jet set Wellies has an enormous following and is frequented by local expats, boat owners and visitors.

The food is good, the service is better and the atmosphere is just right. During the spring, summer and autumn you can sit outside and watch the world go by. During the winter sneak upstairs and snuggle on a sofa with a plate of nachos and a good friend / book :-)

Everyone I know that either lives on the island or is a regular visitor loves Wellies. They seem to have found the right mix and the location obviously is a great help

This year I am going to try their New Years Eve Party ... tickets are like gold dust ... at only €180 for a five course meal and as much cava as you can drink it is understandable as to why :-) ... I will keep you posted

Scrumptious!!
After reading the reviews on TP for Signor Sassi it sounded like the perfect restaurant to host a dinner. Most of us arrived at 7.30pm but two friends got waylaid and we had to wait an hour for them to make it. During that time the staff came constantly to refresh our glasses, brought us baskets of bread, plates of parmesan and plates of bruschetta (all from their own initiative).

When we did complete our group and order the food arrived quickly and was really really good. I had the gnocchi followed by the tuna which was delicious (although be warned the gnocchi is HUGE). One friend had the veal and said it was the best he ever tasted.

Despite it being a couple of Saturday's before Christmas and the restaurant being busy, we were not rushed at all. The staff were funny, friendly and there was lots of banter (with some singing thrown in)

It was a wonderful night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting great food, exceptional service and a lively, buzzy atmosphere.

It is also really close to Harrods should you fancy doing a bit of shopping first ... :-)

This restaurant has everything; it is stylish; they have a great menu; the food is superb; the service is attentive without being overbearing; and the ambience is casual and relaxing. I have eaten here many times and it continues to be one of my favourite restaurants.

The food is a mix of Mediterranean and Asian. My personal favourites are the grilled vegetables with goats cheese to start and the sesame coated tuna as a main. Monday night six of us asked for their special menu, where they bring you small plates of many things. It was absolutely superb!!

I found this place last week and have been there twice already!!

The Wavendon Arms is a country pub with a difference, on the Newport Road nestling on the edge of Wavendon it dates back to 1851.

Recently restored, it incorporates the values of traditional pub hospitality with modern designs featuring stone fired ovens, log burning hearths, deep leather seating and spacious teak furniture - I absolutely loved the look and feel. Modern yet welcoming!

In the summer the large, spacious garden is the place to be seen. In winter, log fires crackle and spit as you relax with friends over a glass of wine.

The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute with lots of comfort appeal, with homely things like pizzas, steaks, pasta and risotto with some more global dishes to keep things lively. Their wine list contains a wide range of wines to suit all occasions and styles, including lots of Champagnes!

The atmosphere at The Wavendon Arms is relaxed, friendly and informal. I would recommend this for lunchtimes or evening. I have now been with clients and friends and it was the perfect venue for both!!

Will definitely be adding this to my list of regular places to go :-)

Had heard great things about the Crooked Billet so decided to give it a whirl!

I was very surprised to be asked for a credit card to hold the booking. Apparently there is a £20 no-show fee although cancellations are accepted right to the time of your table.

Arrived to find a bar area that was in desperate need of a new carpet and kind of lacked soul. Hard to describe, but definitely not inviting. Looking past that, the menu was good and there were lots of interesting things to chose from, as well as wine recommendations for every dish which could be purchased by the glass.

Went through to the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. It was intimate and there was a definite cosiness that was really welcoming

The food was great, the service good and in summary well worth a visit.

Chic, smart, trendy, amazing restaurant
We were in a beautiful if somewhat unusual clothes shop in Milan. On talking to the owner we were recommended we go to Chandelier with the password that he had sent us! Walking along what appeared to be a residential street we thought we were in the wrong place. Then we happened across a door, opened it and an outrageous fusion of dcor, light and sound met us WOW!

One part Fellini film, one part Louis XV Palace, many parts Moulin Rouge, it's a lavish red-carpeted lounge containing several rooms that drip with baroque thrones, glittering candelabras, gilt-edged tables and of course, the eponymous chandeliers. In other parts you'll find naughty mannequins in lace underwear, Moroccan beds and more antiques than a Sotheby's catalogue.

It's one of the city's hottest hangouts, frequented by the global designer set, among them Gaultier and Versace. The food, everything from foie gras to pasta and fish, is probably pricey, but the cocktails are as colourful and gorgeous as the waiters in glittering saris who deliver them. What's more, everything you see is for sale.

This is a mind and body experience!!!

Incredible Indonesian food in a superb restaurant
This was one of my luckiest of finds! A fabulous Indonesian restaurant, out of the main tourist areas of Amsterdam this is a restaurant you have to book and when you arrive you will have to ring the doorbell to gain entry.

The food is authentic Indonesian with a modern twist and is absolutely superb. The Ikan Pepesan is wonderful and if you like spicy food is to be tried to be believed. Steamed mackerel in a hot chilli pepper sauce I was the only one on our table that was able to eat much of it because it is +++ (their hottest dish(es)). However, the flavour of the mackerel really came through and I thought it was fabulous!

Have eaten here on two trips to Amsterdam and have recommended it to others who have also had an amazing experience.

The restaurant is small, cosy and friendly. Perfect for a date or to spend quality time with friends.
