One of the best experiences ever
I am really a big fan of this place after visiting there last night with 3 friends of mine.

Although the club is located in a less-than-salubrious part of the town, by no means allow this to deter you from visiting. From the outside, the cool-looking "I love TokyoProject" tipped me off -- it was not going to be the usual dives which serve up Indie/Rock; this building's exterior is a charming rouse.

Upon entering the club, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the level of attention that had been paid to both the modern décor and it's upkeep. Both floors, equally lavish were to the delight of the customers there who began to completely fill the place towards the end of the night.

Due to the fact we spent the entirety of our stay in the lower portion of the building, it would be remiss of me to give review to the upper floor which played pop music throughout. The most interesting place to be is downstairs - the Indie/Rock level of the building as that's where it really kicks off.

It's actually such a Joy, I must say - to visit a club where there is not an assault on the senses by irritating and endless dance music, and it's inevitable drain on one's patience.

Once I got in there I was actually impressed at the level of attention that had been paid to both the modern décor and it's upkeep. The place, to say it becomes incredibly busy is very well maintained.

Upstairs was the dance/pop related bar, which again looked amazing but due to the fact that pop is a known irritant to me we headed downstairs, where the décor was equally impressive. As the night progressed, the place grew busy and the music grew yet more enjoyable. So much so, I lost my voice singing to songs that were actually enjoyable.

All in all, an absolutely excellent club. Anyone who likes good music , excellent environment and a beautiful place to boot should seek this place out and enjoy yourself.

Exceptional restaurant, lovely decor & location
I've been here several times and have to say that at the time I visited, the restaurant was exceptional. The food was, I would say a strange mix of food both foreign and domestic, which is the reason why half a star was knocked off, unfortunately.

The decor was exquisite, along with the waterfront location which makes an exceptional talking point. Unfortunately, the surrounding location is somewhat of a dump; although being regenerated, the location is near a row of houses, and there is relatively zero parking, along with the place being quite small making things quite difficult indeed to get there and happily drive back out.

Having said that, the decor and food are what I would recommend you go for, and not for petty things like parking. Perhaps a procured area on the surrounding land would have made for a more accessible location, but I am appreciative of such factors involved in starting a restaurant, and must say that with that which was given an excellent little place was created.

The food was very adequately presented indeed. A Tempura dish, which whilst not being exceptional was quite tasty and showed the signs of a developing chef trying to flaunt his skills. The starter, again, from what I remember was a home-made soup fitted with the overall feel of the place, as did the dessert, a rather standard Ice-cream dish.

The menu for my tastes seemed more like someone trying to flex their culinary muscles and didn't seem to have any continuity between dishes; authentic English and Japanese food? How odd a place to exhibit boistrous tastes, even where there are developing communities of young couples moving into recently developed housing.. not the place for a chef to exhibit his range and be appreciated, unfortunately.

It may be that all these issues have now been resolved, but at the time of visitation it seemed like someone may have had the misconception that extravagant food would thrill people into going there when well-made modern British food would be more appropriate.

I have not visited there in a year, so It may be that these issues have since been resolved and were reflective only of a teething period in the restaurant and because of the exhibited potential it seemed to have, remains easily forgivable.

I would recommend for a quite suitable date for you and your partner, but unfortunately would not recommend for parties as the atmosphere was somewhat quiet and the seating layout was understandably cramped. All things in consideration an outstanding find in what has proven to be a town devoid of palatable food.

Amidst a lot of other adequate restaurants, I have to say that on the off chance I visited here and it was not regrettable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the decor was very nice and presentable along with the staff there.

For my starter, I sampled the stone-baked Garlic Bread & Funghi Alla Aglio which was very well presented and correctly cooked; the former being cooked to the point that the flavor was well kept but soft, and the mushrooms retaining their soft yet crunchy exterior and prominent garlic flavor.

For the main course, the Fillet Oorton Blue was very well-presented; minimalistically placed in the center of the plate and very adequately sauced, garnished and seasoned lightly, providing an excellent culmination of flavours for any palate.

The final dish, a specially-made Crepes Suzette was simply as it was expected - very well presented and simple - no flourishes and exceptional ingredients made the dish stand out from others I have tasted, and dare say - attempted to make.

Overall, I would say that aside from the odd minor error in the food, the menu was very adequately made and the food, for the prices offered was of good value. The staff were very friendly and contributed to the atmosphere and I will be going back there with friends very shortly.

Definitely one of the best in the area, and a good place to go with family or friends on a night out.

Recently got some food from there, and I have to say that - aside from the exquisite decor and good service, some of the food leaves a little to be desired, and the menu is more take-away than restaurant.

I ordered the lamb chops, which were unfortunately over-sauced and over-seasoned -- the peppercorns used were added in lumps which made the chops look like they were burnt to a crisp and became deterimental to the overall flavor. Too much seasoning and sauce also made the taste very convoluted and just way too strong for the average palate.

I have heard that the other dishes they do are quite nice, but I am yet to sample them. On a separate occasion, I did order a cheeseburger from there and must note that it was exceptional as far as cheeseburgers go.

I'd reccomend it for if you're really not fussed but would prefer to go to Nutters or another restaurant in Manchester.
