What a rare thing, a real old pub
What a delight. No whirring cash registers or illuminated bar taps here. Just a good old traditional English country pub, with everything that makes such a pub great.

You'd have to travel a long way to find another pub like this. Local ales, home baked bread and a lovely beer garden in the middle of a sleepy, near silent beautiful village street.

It's a little like taking a step back in time. Seeing my drinks order being added up on a notepad, I didn't even have the heart to ask if they take plastic ;) Horses in the field next to the beer garden, ducks around the corner. A real treat for anyone looking for a proper pint and a bite to eat.

If you're looking for a pint of fosters and a jukebox, look somewhere else.
