Sunnyside up is a small sandwich shop on Plungington rd, towards the junction with Blackpool Rd. They offer a typical sandwich shop type menu ranging from cooked breakfasts to a good selection of hot and cold sandwiches. The food is always freshly prepared whilst you wait or they do offer a limited delivery service for a minimum spend.

Lakeside superbowl in Preston has 24 bowling lanes, a fully licensed bar which has last orders a approx 11.15pm. The bowling alley itself has a very friendly relaxed atmosphere that is well equipped and clean. There are pool tables and arcade machines also.

Tacky throwback
The Reflex brand seems to be springing up in many of the cities i visit throughout the country, unfortunately they all seem to attract the same sort of crowd. Either young kids who thrive off the cheesy pop that normally they would shun because there parents love it or you have the desperate over 40's looking to relive their youth. It is normally these women you find trying to look attractive on the dance pole but are usually that p***ed they fall over.

On the flip side they are very popular but that also equates to crowded once inside. Can be very funny watching people on the pole though.

Huntleys
Huntleys is a farm that after the 2001 foot and mouth crisis had a very succesful transformation into a thriving restaurant. Onsite there is now not only the very excellent restaurant but also a farm shop selling fruit & vegatables, a butcher, and a craft shop. I have been here on many occasions and have never been dissapointed as yet, all the ingredients used are of the freshest and highest quality.

Huntley’s has earned lots of media and industry accolades.From picking up the 2005 East Lancashire Retailer of the Year award to being celebrated as one of Rick Stein’s Food Heroes.

Yum Yum's
Yum Yum's is your typical city centre kebab / pizza shop. It is ideally situated for the late night drinkers along Prestons Church street area, facing Yates and cafe Manyana. Unfortunately due to it's close proximity to the clubs and pubs you do tend to find more than a few idiots who can't handle their drink looking for trouble.

Not much really to say about the food offered as after a skin full of lager I can't really remember if it was good or not!!!

Preston railway station serves the city of Preston in Lancashire, England and is a major station on the West Coast Main Line. It is served by Northern Rail, Virgin Trains, and TransPennine Express services. Limited operations are carried out by London Midland and First ScotRail.

I myelf am not a big user of the rail network so maybe am not best qualified to give a fair review however my brief experiences of Preston Train station are for the most positive. There are plenty of amenities and shops to buy from prior to boarding your train. One thing that does strike you about the station is that it does look rather tired and old.

Situated in the Friargate area of Preston, the Buffet @ Preston is a chinese Buffet style restaurant. In my opinion being someone who isn't very adventurous with their food choices i think it represents good value for money. The prices vary throughout the week, however the price that i am sure of is on a Sunday evening when the price is £6.50 per person.

The restaurant is set over three floors with the food on the middle floor, the restaurant has a small lift to enable disabled customers access to the middle floor.

From my many occasions eating there I have not been dissapointed yet, I have noticed that the food under the heaters is reguarly renewed, not just with more put on top but complete fresh stainless steel serving trays. The buffet comprises of all popular chinese dishes aswell as being able to take crispy duck and pancakes, plenty of prawn crackers soups and salads. Then if you could possibly stomach any more there is a well stock sweet section also, mainly fresh fruit with a spattering of cakes and icecream.

if i were to have one gripe it would be that I am constantly thirsty in there, probably due to salty food so that you will buy plenty of drinks to bump up the bill.

Overall though I would recommend.

My wife and I got married here in July 2006. We chose this venue after looking at many more but Bartle Hall won hands down for too many reasons to list.

The hall (hotel) itself is stunning and set in 16 acres of beautiful grounds. For weddings there are two main venues, the main hotel itself, which is for slightly smaller weddings (in my opinion. Or the annex building which is were we married which is completely self contained in terms of its own gardens, kitchens, bars etc. I could say much more about this place but I would highly recommend viewing the website or even visiting first hand.

Clifton Arms Hotel
My wife and I stayed here for one night after attending a weeding reception there in August 2008. We stayed at another so called 4 star hotel in Lytham some months back and there is no comparison at all.

The hotel even though situated on the sea front at Lytham has a large car park to the rear. It is also within 5 minutes walking of the main shopping district of Lytham. Check in was handled very quickly with no problems the staff were all extremely courteous. Our room was very nice indeed, tea/coffee making facilities in the room, complimentary shower products. A bonus for me was that I rang down to reception asking if they had an iron for use to be told that there was one in the wardrobe.

If you do go though ask for a front facing room as on a clear day the views out over the seafront and further afield are spectacular.

Breakfast consisted of a buffet style with whatever fruit, cereal, yoghurt etc that you could wish for. Aswell as a sepertate hot food section with your usual bacon, sausage etc etc.
