A local pub with good food speciality being fish.
This local restaurant/public house is a little difficult to find with it being in the back street of Robertstown but to be honest when found it offers fine food at a reasonable price. The restaurant is probably noted for its fish based meals and to be honest there is a fine selection available and the selection would be at home in a Rick Steins restaurant and nearer the sea.

The restaurant is broken into two area one the restaurant and one the bar each selling seperate meals. The bar meals are the standard fair that you would see in a small country pub. The restaurant offers the fish selection and various steaks and other meals. The menu board is vast and offers a variety of choice but if I am being a little picky the staff was not able to give a great amount of information on the meals before ordering but did say that they would get the owner out of the kitchen if required.

With my choice of meal ordered it came in about ten minutes or so as all meals are cooked to order and fesh and hot so the wait was very acceptable for nice hot meals. My other guest asked for a fish with the head off (as she is a little sqeemish) but this was not done and put her off the meal a little but they did appologise and offered a replacement meal so that can't be bad.

All in all the visit was a great success and enjoyable and if I was to criticise anything it would be that the restaurant itself was a little dated and may benefit from a slight over haul. Please do not let this put you off as it did have a bit of oldy worldy charm in itself.

Now a take away may be just an excuse for a lazy night infront of the TV and anything that's hot and somewhat tasty will do. Now with the aid of a telephone you have accesss to one of the highest quality Chinese food around. The Chun Ho Chinese Take Away make eating in a bit special and delivery is quicker than it takes to get it yourself.

This take away food makes you want to get dressed up in your finest gear, turn down the lights and with a candle or two a romantic dinner at home is on the cards (without the petrol costs and no need to drive at all). The food is as good as any restaurant and the portions are great far suitable for two people to have a good taste each. The food available on the menu is of a varied selection and cooked to a very high standard and should you fancy anything that is not on the menu they will try their hardest to comply with all you requirements and make it up for you...

Try the DUCK IN PLUM SAUCE.......... A signature dish.....and well advised

The staff on the end of the telephone are as helpful as can be and always available for advice and are as cheerfull as you could wish for. Delivery is free on orders over £ 10 (within a designated area) and very very prompt. If you are wanting a night in and save money on petrol and drinks why not have a quiet night in with a bottle of wine and Chun Ho take away.

The food is as good as any restaurant and the portions are great far suitable for two people to have a good taste each. The food available on the menu is of a varied selection and cooked to high standard and should you fancy anything that is not on the menu they will I am sure make it for you. I have asked many times for items found in restaurants and to my surprise they made it to order. Great quality and flexibility and the staff are as helpfull as can be with advice for all.

So for an evening of take away food at its best and at a price which can be ragarded as cheap as chips (oh and chips are available HA HA HA) why not give it a try.
