Cheap prices for a charming, touristy location. Service was alright -not friendly, but prompt.

The famous Sally Lunn Bunn is a slightly sweet oversized Hamburger roll, but slathered in clotted cream and strawberry jam is quite tasty.

I probably wouldn't go back, and I probably wouldn't wait in line, but I'm glad I got the experience for my Bath day trip.

A Book and A Bite
Located inside of Blackwell, this chain cafe is just like all its franchise sisters. All the coffees are made with two espresso shots, so it is the place to load up on the caffeine. All of the drinks are competent, but nothing to write home about. But the staff here is very sweet and accommodating and the setting is gorgeous. From a comfy sofa here you can look out of the 1st floor location right into the Sheldonian theatre and watch the bustle of the streets beneath you.

FIt for a King OR a Queen
We stopped by after church on Easter Sunday, and were charmed by the good coffee, excellent sweets and sandwiches, and quaint atmosphere.

Prices were quite inexpensive and staff was very efficient. They have plenty of seating but it seems to fill up fast.

Lack of "Servizio"
We were celebrating a friend's 21st birthday when we walked in here at 9pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was nearly full, but there were still a few scattered empty tables around. However, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table for 6. Against our better judgment, we decided to wait.

It would have been easy to push two table together to seat all of us, but the table staff seemed to not realize this. Finally, a big group cleared a table and we were seated. It took a while to get our waiter's attention, and then he got drink orders wrong and forgot what the daily specials were. Once the food arrived, it was okay, but definitely not worth the frustration of the poor service. Portions were also on the small side.
