I couldn't bring myself to give it less than 3 stars but actually I would say 2.5/5! I have been to see about 6/7 shows this year in theatreland and unfortunately would say Chicago was the worst :(

Suzanne Shaw was a bit rubbish as Roxy Hart and really ruined it for me. Maybe it was supposed to be overacted and a silly American voice but I just found it annoying. The woman who played Velma was excellent however and a great singer. The real stars were the lady who played Mamma Morton and Roxy's husband - they were both really good!

My friends liked it more than I did but weren't impressed either. Sorry to be a misery - it wasn't awful, just a taste thing maybe?! Shows are never bad but this definitely wasn't good!

Huge pizzas!
I visited La Porchetta on about 5 friend's recommendations and was not disappointed! Me and my partner ordered pizzas and were both delighted! The food was with us within 5 minutes, despite a busy weekend lunch-time crowd and was one of the nicest I've had for ages!

The place is family run and they also do a take away service. I will be heading back there soon with a larger group!

Oh, and just to mention the prices - the majority were all between £5-6 which is fantastic!

Happy hour is until 9pm and that's when I advise you to go! Cocktails are all around £7-8 which can really get expensive but until 9pm it's half price. It's hard to get a table as it's tiny and people can reserve them but it's a cool, classy bar with great martinis!

I would recommend the Lychee martini :) 10/10

Ok, well I'm a poor first-job graduate living in London with very little money BUT I had a great night out at Mahiki recently!

I thought it would be really pretentious but was surprised that there was no guest list, the manager introduced himself and bought me and my friend drinks and I got chatting to Princess Beatrice! Paid £10 entry, £9 for a cocktail and after that the night was free as people are so willing to buy drinks. Not stupid enough to think people are that nice, but the clientel were generally drunk and rich!

People such as Paris Hilton, Cheeky Girls, Chelsea footballers, royalty - they all visit and it seems to be one of the 'it' places to go. It's definitely worth an occasional visit for the fantastic cocktails and memorable evening but I won't be a regular...

Les Miserables
Les Miserables is fantastic - would recommend to everyone!

I first saw Les Mis at the theatre when I was about 14. I remember enjoying it and loving all the songs, which I already knew, but not quite understanding it... I saw it again last week (aged 23!) and thought it was the most amazing production ever! Valjean, Javert, Eponine were all fantastic, as the ovations at the end showed. The music was amazing, the cast were uber-talented, direction was spot on and scenes were fantastic. The scene at the barricade where all the students die (sorry for spoiler) was my favourite part of the show and was directed perfectly. In fact the main student guy was brilliant, he really stood out :)

Go see it - it's almost life changing!! ;)

A fun night out!
First of all I've got to say, I was looking forward to seeing this production for about 2 years so was always going to be a little disappointed!

I finally went to see The Lion King after moving to London late last year and went the week before Christmas. I think it was built up to such an amazing event after all the reviews I had heard that I came out very disappointed :( The man playing Wazoo (the bird?) was really funny and the young Simba was very talented but I just found myself unimpressed and comparing it to Wicked and Les Miserables all the way through which I found 100 times better.

All in all, a talented cast and great scenes but I couldn't give it more than 3/5

Don't pay the money!
I would never have chosen to visit the Odeon Leicester Square unless I had free tickets - which I did! I won tickets to the premiere of Iron Man so was quite excited to walk along the red carpet and visit this famous cinema. I was expecting to get a glass of champagne on entry and other nice things but in fact just got water and popcorn! Was a good experience though and film was great!

Celeb spotting was fun - was sat near Simon Pegg, Brendon Coles and Al Murray but the really famous people were kept away from us mortals!

The best night out in London
First of all, I have to say, I go to the theatre a lot! However, Wicked is my favourite show by far! I've seen it 5 times now (yes, I'm a loser) and it's incredible! Kerry Ellis (who has now departed for the States) is the most talented singer in the West End/Broadway and her replacement is doing a great job in her absence. Dianne Pilkington who plays Glinda is hilarious in the role.

The songs are catchy, the story moving, the acting/singing fantastic and the ovation that they receive every night is well deserved.

10/10 - go and see it!

Exactly what you would expect from TGIs - American diner type food, booths, steaks, cocktails, American style interior, over-friendly staff. However, the point of this review is to mention the Jack Daniels sauce! Had it for the first time about a month ago at TGIs, Covent Garden and can't wait to go back! It was fantastic! Apart from that - had a good night and didn't mind the extortionate bill at the end!

But still, my favourite thing about TGIs - the cocktails - simply amazing!

Great atmosphere
Had a meal with my family here a couple of weeks ago and had a really good night! The food was a little expensive for what it was (very similar to TGIs) but luckily I wasn't paying! The atmosphere was the best part of the night and meant we wanted to stay for desserts and drinks. Staff were polite and really attentive and the food was quick to be served. Overall, a really good night out - definitely recommended - but not if you're short of cash!
