I stayed here for 4 nights and I really have no idea why I did not walk out immediately after setting foot in the room.

At first try the tv didn't work but a member staff managed to sort that out so that was no big deal. I then noticed that the carpet seemed to be covered in dog hair, masses of it and as such I spent all my time in the room on the bed to avoid the carpet filth. Even there I wasn't safe, the sheets were ok, certainly not as good as I expected but they'd do however the cover on top was again rife with hair. The en suite was.....eugh, I don't know when the last time anyone cleaned the tiles there or the taps. It was awful, it was a task to even stand in the bath to get a shower, certainly would not lie down in that.

Then there were the staff. The staff seemed to be comprised of students that can't really cook a breakfast or pay attention to what you've asked for and instead bring you a plate with the wrong things on it. There's also the issue of the 24hr kitchen which is not 24hrs. You may find yourself in the situation I was in, having decided to eat late on in the evening I went to reception and placed my order only to find that the man on reception didn't work there full time and didn't know how it worked. He then called someone who did work there full-time who told him the food was in the freezer and that he wouldn't be able to find it nor would it be ready for me for a long time even if he could so he informed me that the kitchen was closed. Everywhere nearby that served food was also closed at this time so it was far from a pleasant experience.

Do not be fooled by the pictures on its website, the place is a complete tip.

Fantastic
Prior to my visit here I had never been to a Pizza Express as there are none where I live. I'd heard it talked about and decided to give it a try, I was certainly not disappointed. The food is freshly prepared in front of you, the staff are polite and helpful and the food tastes fantastic. Sure it is more expensive than Pizza Hut but when you taste the food you'll certainly know why. I only wish there was a Pizza Express in my city.

The sandwiches weren't cheap and the filling I had was very nice but for the price you could easily buy a good sandwich from M&S and have change to spare. I wasn't persuaded by the range of fillings either going for the age old egg mayo. Overall yes the taste was very nice but it wasn't worth the price hence 4 stars.

Having never tried Japanese food before and considering the prices at Obento I decided not to try sushi, at least not on this visit. I ordered pan fried gyoza as a starter. These were quite small which was somewhat disappointing. Luckily I wasn't too hungry anyway but upon cutting up the gyoza and tasting them I did wonder how on earth they could say they were pan fried. I'd be surprised if they touched a pan for more than half a second thus both the filling and the wrapper were barely cooked. To add further insult to injury I was then incredibly ill for most of the night with awful stomach pains and toilet journeys. I certainly will not be visiting this place again should I ever go back to Bristol.

Good Service, good food
Whilst in London for a week or so I visited Subway roughly 3 times. The staff were very helpful. I wasn't keen on the chicken sandwich I'd had the previous night but had enjoyed having the meatball sauce inside (possibly a limited edition sandwich as its not listed on the subway website) so the staff added the meatball sauce to the Italian BMT at no extra charge.

Staff are usually friendly, fairly quick service though that does depend on the queue. Used to go here once or twice a week for lunch, walked from uni. Favourite sandwich was the Meatball Marinara however after a couple of bad experiences i.e. lumps of fat inside the meatballs and hard meatballs that seemed as though they'd been warmed up from the day before, I stopped going. The prices aren't too bad though, could be better. No real ambience in the place.

Visited this place for lunch, bought a sandwich and a bottled drink. The sandwich filling was incredibly dry meaning I had to take a sip of my drink after every bite and considering the price of both the sandwich and the drink which was quite small in size, it certainly was not good value for money.

This used to be my favourite fish & chip shop but I became less satisfied with it about a year or two ago when the chips stopped being greasy. Now there are many times when you order that the chips aren't even the slightest bit brown, certainly not greasy, the batter and the fish are usually good.

Disappointing
This takeaway is the closest to me and yet I do not visit it, instead I often order from one roughly 2.5-3 miles away and there's a good reason for this. I've been here a few times, the first time I ordered a meal which was completely disappointing, any hint of flavour was non-existent. I then went back, more fool you is what you may be thinking and you would be right. The next time I ordered something simple - curry and chips. The chips were barely cooked and the curry "tasted" awful. It tasted like water with a drop of curry powder in. Now most takeaways will at the very least add chilli powder to the mixture and it certainly will not taste like powder. Although runny the taste was distinctly powder like and there was no curry flavour whatsoever.
I recently decided to give it another chance but it has not improved and I will certainly avoid this takeaway at all costs in future. I advise you to do the same.

Quick, Cheap, Cheerful
At this takeaway service is never without a smile and it's never slow. If you order something simple like curry and chips you'll be unlucky if you're waiting longer than 2 minutes, more often than not you'll wait 1 minute if even that. For larger meals of course you'll be waiting longer but service is very fast and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I've not sampled a range of the food, only a little bit but relatives of mine have. Some were satisfied, others disappointed which also reflects my own experiences depending on the dish. Generally when relatives or friends visit we send out to another Chinese takeaway for the food which is much further away hence I have given it three stars as opposed to four as the takeaway we send out to is one I have rated with four stars.
