It was such a foreign idea compared to most American versions of Asian restaurants. The communal seating seemed quirky at first but then it grew on me. I realized that it was a great way to meet people. The food was fantastic. I had the yaki soba which was delicious and very flavorful. When I returned to London in 2007 I had wagamama on my list of places to visit. I ordered the yaki soba again because I loved it so much the first time. I would highly recommend wagamama for lunch especially to foreign travelers. It is not only great food but a great experience.

Pineda stands out because of their flavor. Asada isn't just asada and the al pastor is to die for. Pineda has a large selection of meat and other fillings for the tacos, burritos and tortas. While many gringos will have their tacos on a flour tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese I prefer the traditional flavors of a corn tortilla, cilantro and onions. The atmosphere is similar to a Subway restaurant and the prices are very fair. I would recommend that you try Pineda next time you're in the neighborhood or craving some authentic tacos or burritos. If you've never had one, and you are really hungry try a torta; they are delicious!
