They do pack you in though so do not think you will get a pod to your self coz you need to pay more for that.
Later in the day the sky will be wonderful and the softer light makes it easier for you to see without straining your eyes.
It is reasonable enough in terms of price and nice to say that you have been on and seen london from a different view point

A relaxed half hour journey where you end up looking down on Big Ben, the houses of parliament and all the other sights. Even our little ones were fascinated watching the tiny trains going in and out of Charing Cross station and boats going up and down the river. They were initially scared of going so high, but 2 minutes in they were fine.

Make sure you book in advance, as you can end up waiting for a long time if it's a busy time. You can also save money booking in advance, and if you use your Tesco clubcard vouchers via their deals you'll save a fortune.

It is the one attraction in London that I would describe as a must see, and you get so much from it.

It has around 400 species in over 50 displays , the best of which was the big shark tank, which we stood and gazed a for ages. It is right next to the london eye and westminster bridge, so nice and easy to find. The family ticket is around £45 which does seem quite a lot of money and this place is not really an all day activity, but we did enjoy it and later found out we could have saved more money if we had got some discount vouchers. Never mind we will be more aware next time we visit. Trouble is the kids want to adopt a cute little shark next time, who are they kidding.

If you have a tube or train pass you can get a free entry for 1 person when you buy 1 ticket, so you could take a family of 4 and only pay for the 2 adults. The smaller displays were ok but the large shark tank had the wow factor and we spent ages watching the sharks and other fish swim past us, it was wonderful. We wold go again in the future. When you come out you are right near westminster bridge and the river and you could wind down with a nice walk along the river side.

You can book in advance and also pick up deals to include other attractions to make more of a day out. The london aquarium is very close so that would be a good place to combine you trip with. The pods do not stop to let you on but move slowly enough to let you get on with no problems. If there are lots of you, you may be lucky and get a whole pod to your self as we did, which was nice. The que is always quite long so do bear this in mind when planning visiting times, etc.

Bar staff are approachable and (in most cases) can mix a decent cocktail. The food menu - a much expanded version of the tapas at the other place - looked tempting but I have to admit I wasn't there to eat. We spent an hour and a half in the darkened basement watching the footie, and were grateful for the expanse of seating and thoughtful placing of flatscreen TVs. Always popular and never dull, Bar Kick is the pick of the drinking holes on Shoreditch High Street.

Phone: 0870 500 0600

Website: http://www.ba-londoneye.com
The London Eye is definitely a great experience. The views are really good on a clear day and although I went in the middle of the day, I think it would be even better in the evening at sunset or at night. It's really easy to find and is easy to get into, although your bags will be searched before you can get on. Its kind of expensive but if you are a tourist you tend to pay for these things anyway, right? Obviously you have to get on and off while its moving but don't worry, it doesn't go very fast, which means you get plenty of time to look around from the top, and I think they stop it if someone has a disability and needs it to stop before they can get on and off. You really can see a lot of the city from the top, and the views are worth the cost.

It's absolutely perfect for de-stressing (well, after you've found a table, anyway!) and will leave you relaxed and hopefully a bit tipsy at the end of the evening. The biggest boon of this place is its fantastic wine selection - excellent value bottles and equally good vintages if you're willing to spend. They also serve sherry which is a refreshing change, too. The atmosphere is undoubtedly the second greatest attraction - it's got a candlelit, almost Victorian style essence to it, and if it weren't always very busy it would be pretty easy to stay all night in peace. Other wine bars tend to focus on young people, with music, noisy crowds, etc. but Gordon's seems to attract an older bunch which is good in my book! The bottom line: go here if you're after a relaxed evening - not a noisy night out.

Compared to other aquariums I have been to I found this one slightly on the expensive side. But for a rainy day in London or just an all round treat I would definitely recommend a trip here.

Highlights for me were the ray pool, the sharks and a firm favourite, the seahorses.

I did try to return to the Aquarium for another visit earlier this year. However, my trip to London fell on a rainy bank holiday weekend and the crowds and queues were huge. I decided against visiting again with so many people all trying to get in the door (bank holidays may not be the best or easiest time to visit!).

A good tip is to buy tickets in advance through the aquarium website as you save 10% off the price.

For those downstairs it must have been amazing.

Phone: 020 7967 8000

Website: http://www.londonaquarium.co.uk
We visited with our 4 year old niece and 18 month old nephew and they loved the sharks!

Our niece enjoyed the puppet show which was put on for the children at regular times. There was an educational theme which was environmental but it was also fun and entertaining to suit the little ones.

In some places it would be helpful to have larger viewing areas and seating as it is frustrating and young viewers get impatient. Some parts get congested and there are many baby buggies going round at the same time.

The talks are very informative so the adults can learn quite a bit.

The London Aquarium website offered a discount for booking in advance online which avoided the lengthy queue.
