Good wine list and a decent ale on tap.

Top rate bar snacks and a small menu of gastro pub grub.

It gets busy and seats are like gold dust.

It costs to get in on a friday night it's only Â£4.

Mind your head downstairs (it has a very low ceiling)

Good pub with friendly staff.

Limited space and can get busy especially on a friday night or when the football is on.

Does pizza if the pizza place next door is open, which isn't that often.

Has free wireless, ask at the bar for the password.

This a pub in the heart of the country side with gastro pub style food and a good selection of local ale.

I went there with friends for the first time last night just in time to watch the summer sun set on the horizon with a pint of summer ale in my hand.

After the sun set we moved inside for my first game of bar billiards in nearly 10 years, why this game is rare and hen's teeth i don't know.

Then on to dinner, a huge chunk of steak and chunky chips, the wife opted for a teriyaki salmon which disappeared in minutes :D.

Expect:

Local ale, well kept pipes

Good wine list (we had a quaffeable pinotage)

Good posh pub food

Lots of outside space.

Similar in class to the 12bar but with a much bigger stage. It's a cool venue with a great history, mostly
plastered on the walls in the form of old gig posters (a lot of bands have played here before they made it).

However, like most live music venues in London, don't expect the Ritz.

Again, as with the 12bar (just a stones throw away) you come here for the music, the fact they serve food and beer is a bonus.

Expect:

Good live music

Lager on tap, bottles and spirits.

Food of the burger, chips and nacho variety.

This has been out of business since November 2006.

I lived here looking after the property during the early part of 2007. It must have been a nice place when it did have staff; now all you will find is security guard and a rottweiler.

Bars: 2 (always empty)

Beer: lumpy

Service: non-existent

Room: 3-star en-suite but the cleaner sucked ;)

Ghosts: 1 monk who makes you feel uneasy when in the kitchen and can be heard chanting at night ( I never heard a thing in 2 months).

Resturant: cold an dark with and old well in the middle.

Set in 5 acres of land just outside Canterbury, look out the under new managment sign ...

Situated in a quite side alley a stones throw from the cathederal, this resturant looks morrocan, has lovely morrocan themed toilets and the food is er ... morrocan.

Outside there is limited seating for enjoying the summer sun.

Downstairs most of the tables I saw were for 2 or 4, although upstairs there is a room you can hire for groups of 12 or so (we managed to cram in around 18, a bit snug but we were all friends).

Good authentic food, central location, good wine and a bloody good night out.

I went here and had a pie, it turned up really quickly; worryingly quickly in fact. We were upstairs which to honest isn't that nice, the food was ok but nothing to rave about, what I would describe as 'pub grub'.

Having said all that there is a nice terrace downstairs and the main part of the resturant seemed much nicer than the part were in.

So, I would say give it a try but stay downstairs or opt for the rather nice terrace out the back.

It's an Ask pizza. The food is like every other Ask (italian). The menu is only a few pages long so you don't spend all night deciding what to have.

The big difference about this Ask to every other is that rather than being one big room,it's made up of range of smaller rooms making it alot quiter than your average Ask.

Service is friendly and relatively quite but then when I visited it was quite night.

All in all exactly what you expect from a chain pizzeria, pleasant and centrally located.
