I know its rickety, small and cramped - even though its expanded to take over the building next door. Yet there's something distinctly Soho about this place. Not just because they held a Mighty Boosh exhibition here. With so many portraits of Bryan Ferry in a White Tux, you'd think you were hallucinating! Or the fact they let Noel Fielding doodle all over the walls! It's got that relaxed dufflecoat existentialist, arty Soho feel. On top of that the coffee is good and the cakes very inviting.

Yes I was indeed according to my prejudicious memory, only born yesterday for Iâ¬"ve never heard of a flat white untilâ¬¦ Well letâ¬"s be honest that we all learn about something new everyday but this particular discovery was totally gratifying for yours truly.

I wondered to myself and thought if my Italian friend, Mario from Epsom would ever step in here, I doubt so; heâ¬"s not the kind whoâ¬"s prepared to acknowledge that the best coffee can and will be made by non Italian baristi.

To all the good antipodean folks, I salute you all for this exhilarating beverage. The best coffee there is in Londra, cheers Flat White.

Cantaloupe has tastey food and really good wine.

ven though it's busy most nights there's alway a chilled vibe and a lot of laughter.

I went for a meal for a friends birthday and will definitely be going back to Cantaloupe

Iâ¬"ve been coming to Cargo for years, making regular trips before I had even moved to london

The door staff are actually helpful rather than dismissive and are capable of using words of more than one syllable, which I find is an all too rare trait these days.

On entering you are hit by loud music, but rather than being too bassy or distorted it is just right. This is because of its rather impressive speaker display. The area itself is spacious but also quite intimate, the crowd is varied and unpretentious, and to be fair that is an award winning quality in itself.
With very quick and friendly bar staff I found myself having a great time and have been back on many occasions, it was just lucky I made these notes the first time as I can't remember the others too well. I wondered when these notes would come in useful! All in all a fantastic night.

You'll find it mad busy on the weekend but relatively quiet and relaxed mid week but people are happy to wait and the friendly Kiwi vibe will rub off on you.

Itâ¬"s a haven in the hustle and bustle that is Soho and a good place for lunch, food is simple but interesting and youâ¬"re bound to find some of your favourites on the menu.

Not only do they support the local community by buying all their veg from Berwick Street Market but they also donate a percentage of their profits to charity.

I choose Chez bruce at the as I thought it has ample area and the bar is really nice for my friends 30th birthday as well as being very central and easy for everyone to locate. There was about 20 of us and the area they reserved was tiny. On one of the hottest days of the year. The staff and service were lovely though and the nibbles I ordered really nice

I love Italian food, but I worship risottos. Every time I visit Italy I try to find restaurants with good risottos. Some time ago I was wondering why most Italian places here only serve pastas and pizzas. Just think about it: how many Italian restaurants do you know will serve risotto? A lot of pubs will, but actual Italian restaurants? Not that many.

I was telling this to my boyfriend, when discussing where we would go for our 5-year anniversary. Just for fun he typed in "risotto restaurant" in Google. Not even with 'London' added. And Ooze restaurant rolled out...

So we tried out Ooze. We had theatre tickets booked for 7, so came to the place quite early. It was (of course) still empty, but then we had the choice to sit anywhere we wanted. In the back there are nice comfy benches, but a bit too close all together. You're practically sitting in on somebody else's conversation!

The food though was perfect. We had bruschetta as a starter and it was the best brushetta I've had. Warm, crisp and crunchy and served with a yummy pesto, it's a great precursor to the rest of your meal.

For the main course, I had the Coda di rospo con zafferano - Pan fried monkfish and saffron. It was creamy and silky, exactly what you want from a risotto. My boyfriend had the Frutti di Mare and that too was great.

It was a bit on the pricy side though (about Â£60 for 2 people) and as students we can't really afford it for non-special occasions. Plus the place itself isn't as romantic and cosy as you'd expect it to be. The food though is great and if that's what you're mainly going for, you'll love this place.

My other half has long been a Risotto fan and when we saw Ooze advertised on a restaurant search engine, we were always going to dine there!

Now I must stress that although I have nothing against Risotto, I have never been a massive fan... However, the experience of Ooze has changed my opinion and left me searching for a restaurant to match their standards. Needless to say, I have yet to find one!

The staff were polite and friendly and more than happy to run through the specials in cases where the writing style was a bit "arty"...

I ended up with a t-bone steak and red wine risotto which stunned me to silence (no mean feat) and Vicki opted for a roasted aubergine and mozarella - which she continues to reminisce about...

The wine was recommended by our waiter and complemented both meals excellently.

The food and atmosphere was amazing but left me with one query: Why is the place called Ooze?

Well the answer, obviously, is that a good risotto oozes across a plate, it does not slide or pour!

If you like Risotto, or even if you don't, give Ooze a whirl and I promise you will not be disappointed.
