Firstly though, its a fantastic concept and location with fantastic food but it is totally let down by a bad layout, (i had to move everytime a waitress went past!!!) staff that are too busy eating their own lunch (in between serving!!!)to deliver the food and very unconscientious servers. I dont mean to be harsh but I really love Deptford and have been working and studying here for the past 7 years and was so excited about this and feel that with a little bit of thought and care this could be a real gem that we all could be very very proud of however as a first time visitor I found little that made me want top return again !!!! :((
The food and beverages were excellent though and will return only to see if any changes are made to make it a really memorable experience.
Would have got more stars if i didn't have to move everytime the waitress went past!!!!!
:)

Firstly, it's on Royal Hill, which is pretty much the nicest part of Greenwich in my opinion - there's another great pub next door, a proper old-style butchers, deli, fruit shop etc. Plus it's right next to the park. Secondly, it's a pub from the award-winning Meantime brewery, - you won't find any Fosters or Becks here. Plus, these beers are all ace - my favourites are the Wheat beer and the Raspberry beer. Thirdly, it has a really great garden with loads of benches and heaters - perfect for lazy summer afternoons, or if you smoke. The food I've tried isn't outstanding but is good quality pub food. The only problem is it's wildly popular with Greenwich Uni students so can be mobbed on the weekends.

There are about four seats inside and a couple of tables out front, but the real reason for going there is the coffee, supplied by London Coffee Roasters, which makes for some of the best I've tasted in the UK. The Flat White is tasty, not bitter and packs a wake-up punch that's perfect for getting you going on a saturday walk around Greenwich. Also, it's inside a wonderful vintage records, clothing and furniture emporium, so the music is fantastic too.

Phone: 020 7407 2495
Just a brilliant, brilliant place to go for a drink. It does get extremely busy, both inside and out so not really some where to go for a swift, cheeky Sussex half but if you've got the time (and patience) to wait to get served (not criticism of the service, just reflects how popular it is) then it is well worth it. One of my greatest pleasures is a wander through the market, maybe picking up something to eat on the way through, a pint of Harvey's Sussex best from the Porter and an hour or so spent outside, chatting in the sun, soaking in the sights, smells, and sounds of the market. London simply doesn't get any better than this.

The bar has a free screening room at the back, that was showing Borat when we visited. The barman was really friendly, explained the drinks to us, and the cocktails were expertly mixed. This is a lovely addition to Borough High Street, and we'll definately return.
