I'd been here once before this occasion, for dinner in the Trattoria which was an absolute 5 star experience. Great food, fabulous wines with real value available if you had a good look through the list. But what made it really stand out was the service. Great chat about the wines, different glasses for every style of wine we tried, genuine friendliness. This is what elevates a restaurant experience from great to supreme. Without it, 5 stars should be an impossible dream, no?

So it was with real excitement that we went back for the young lady's birthday breakfast. And the food was great, more than we could possibly eat actually. Muesli, pastries, high quality sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, refilled orange juice and coffee. A set menu for the table (though they did offer us a la carte if we wanted) at only Â£12 per head. Absolutely brilliant value, and a great space to get all the Aussie girlfriends nattering away raucously.

So far, so 5 stars. We ordered some Prosecco to celebrate the occasion with (this was actually more expensive than it needed to be). The main problem was that the server went round the table of 8 people and the bottle only got as far as number 7 before she had emptied it. Not clever, not even subtle. We had to order a 2nd bottle...which let's face it we would have done anyway...but the manner in which they tried to force this upon us is absolutely unacceptable - one of THE worst restaurant practices.

Such a shame. I do love this place: the decor, the big idea, the food, the atmosphere. But they blew it on this occasion and so missed out on the big prize.

Four of us ate in the restaurant on an April weekday at lunchtime and it wasn't too crowded.

It was fairly pricey but the food was a cut above almost anywhere else we have eaten. It was certainly THE best mozarella, tomato and basil salad I have ever tasted. Out of this world.

It's in a gorgeous old building and the interior decor style is fairly famous now - very modern, clean, bright, colourful and funky without looking tacky, and touches like exposed brickwork giving it an authentic feel. Service was great and the staff looked after us without being intrusive or patronising. The sommelier was very knowledgeable.

There was a great deal on the menu to inspire 'foodies' and not so much for the less adventurous diner (like myself) but the flavours were magnificent. And the fresh pasta was simply delicious. Would definitely recommend.

We had been given some gift vouchers for Fifteen we had just enough voucher for 2 tasting menus without wine.

We had to book about a month ahead for a table on a Sunday night. We were really looking forward to it by the time the reservation came around.

The restaurant itself is not in the best areas of London but is simple enough to find from the tube station. The building itself is great looking and is of a really modern design inside. We were greeted at the door and shown into the small bar area to wait for our table.

There is a really great selection of drinks at the bar I think we had a ginger press and a vanilla lemonade both were delicious. It wasnâ¬"t long before we were led to our table. The restaurant is split into upstairs and down we were seated downstairs for dinner.

The waitress that looked after us was very, very knowledgeable and as each course was served she explained in detail the structure of the dish and the location of the ingredients, all very impressive.

The food was magnificent, each course was so tasty and just the right size.

The atmosphere was laid back and informal and the dinning experience was of a very high standard.

A great place to go to treat yourself or someone else.

Atmospheric and cosy tapas bar close to Blackfriars, south of the Thames. Standard tapas menu including everyone's favourites and an excellent wine list. Prices are reasonable and the portions are large enough to share. Very attentive waiter service who are happy to recommend dishes or wine and even let you try before you buy (or they did in my case!). Only downside is that it is always busy - both with the office crowd at lunch and locals in the evening - and they don't take reservations. They do however have seating upstairs,which is perfect if you are in a larger group.

Nice experience and staff was friendly and helpful. The seating is quite close together as the venue is quite small itself so you can almost share your dinner with the couple on the next table. We got a seat right opposite the kitchen so you can watch the busy chefs doing what they do best, which was nice. The food was very tasty but not food that I would normally eat. I think it aimed to introduce food combinations that were different and it did not disappoint. We went for lunch but would love to try the taster menu or breakfasts one day but need to save up for it first. I had a great time.

Having visited in late July this year it was busy as expected. We booked at least two months in advance and three weeks before we visited, we wanted a couple of more people to come, they were very friendly and said they would call if something came up. They didnt ring, but when we arrived they said we could have a couple more seats which was great as my uncle had travelled into london anyway. Staff helpful and friendly, food to die for at not a huge price. Would recommend to anybody who loves italian food. Apparently breakfast on a sunday morning is brilliant so shall be visiting then next time.

Whatever you do, if you go for the wine flights take it slowly! 5 dishes and 5 large glasses of outstanding wine later, I could have happily sat there all evening if I didn't have to be elsewhere!

It really is a remarkable restaurant. From it's humble beginnings to what it has become now, a landmark for Jamie Oliver and his team.

Food in fantastic, from their breakfasts, lunch and supreme dinners. Beautifully presented and generous (but not overwhelming) portions, all served and waited on you by staff who seem to actually enjoy what they do.

Couldn't recommend it more highly, luckily I have moved too far to go twice in a day again...

Dinner was bought for me as a present. The taster menu was excellent. I'm Glad I didn't have to pay for it all though. No Jamie either. We went early and service was really good but it got worse later in evening. V cool decor

I was very excited when I received the menu as it all sounded very good. However it turned out be a bit of a disappointment. The food was ok, but you expect excellent food when you pay Â£70/person.

The staff was very friendly and helpful

Mar I Terra is a Tapas bar / restaurant hidden in the back streets of Waterloo, the delicious food and drink are both wonderfully authentic, and coupled with the reasonable price of about Â£30 per head for a selection of tapas and wine, it makes for a great night out.
In my opinion the only way to eat at Mar I Terra is go with a few friends so that you can reach across most of the menu and fill your table with a wonderful selection of almost everything.
To pick out a particular dish would be foolish, as I can only suggest trying them all; it really is as simple as that!
The only complaint I have is that you canâ¬"t book in advance, and so you may have to wait for a table, but itâ¬"s worth waiting.
Whether you decide to have a sherry or some wine or beer with your food â¬ the flavours of Spain come through with a resounding success. I do have to make a recommendation though; please do try the Premium Spanish brandies as they are fantastic.

I got taken to Fifteen for a special birthday dinner. I had watched the series where Jamie Oliver set up the restaurant, and for that reason it was extra fun! But I am a sucker for media hype.

Our pasta starters were ok - we didn't have the antipasto, but wish we did, it looked amazing. Mains and desserts were excellent - we completely stuffed ourselves. The food was really nice, staff really friendly - our bill was very expensive though - but it was a special occassion and we had 3 courses, wine and coffee. Good for a special occassion and for groups (if they are not on a budget)

Amazing beef carpaccio and perfect Tuna steak - really wanted a dessert as well but as it was a business lunch didn't feel I could order one as no one else had! :) The wine list was extensive but my colleague chose a fabulous white which tasted exactly like lychees and was probably the best white I have ever tasted.

I was not really sure what to expect following all the hype but I was very impressed. The decor/ location was interesting (graffiti and strange sunken seating areas with very high windows below pavement level).

I'll definitely be going back (although may perhaps have to save up for a while unless another business lunch crops up somethime soon...:)

The restaurant downstairs is great. Make sure you do the wine taster menu as well as the Sommelier, Paul, has an astounding knowledge on wine and his enthusiasm for what he has matched to your meal is unrivalled.

hmmm, fifteen, and i was wondering what was all the fuss about.
i went there with my freinds thinking its a social experiment place and we should support it. if its bringing any good to society.
staff was really good and enjoyed the service but i think prices were bit over the top.
