I got into the habit of having a coffee on the way to work everyday. I then started having one at lunchtime "just because" and yet another on the way home as i was tired. All that cafeine was great at the start but the headaches started and i had to cut back on my addiction to starbucks. The money it saved me over the month is ridiculous! I can't believe how much i was spending - especially as i was having a cake here and there, plus a sandwich from them at lunchtime. Don't get me wrong, i love starbucks with all my heart, its just too much coffee was getting bad for my health!

I loved the frothy topping on my coffee and the syrups you can add are divine, ooh they are so moorish. Still, I really do feel that starbucks are a bit pricey, I mean how much profit do they want. However, thats not to say its perfect. As a chain you know exactly what to expect when you step through the door, you know the types of coffee they sell, and you know what types of food as well. Incidentally, the cakes they have taste fabulous but are a little expensive. The sandwiches are also good on the whole, but occasionally a little stale - i don't know how long they keep them on sale for?! I love the fact that the large coffees come in a huge mug! The larger coffees are actually too heavy for me though! Prices are a little more expensive than other coffee shops!

However, my recommendation is don't just go for the latte or the cappucino, they have many different alternatives here and they are all delicious! Food is also top quality, they sell many light bites with cakes and sandwiches which are also delicious. This particular Starbucks has fantastic service too!

Many people hate Notting Hill, assuming it is full of pretentious young media types all thinking themselves far too glamorous actually to do anything useful. While largely not true of the area it is unfortunately completely true of the people who work at the Fat Badger, who are pretty, pretty lazy, and pretty thick. Service is poor - there's no two ways about it. The menu is pretentious, and the process of it arriving at your table at the same time as your companions' seemingly non-existent. The food emphasises fresh seasonal ingredients and this seemed to be the case - hence two stars rather than one - but there was nothing particularly memorable about its Gastropub 101 assembly. It's not as cheap as it should be for its corner of Golborne Road location. If the owner is reading this, I would suggest firing any member of staff who even looks like they might be hoping to land a celebrity, and taking everything else back to basics. Good, simple food well done is what a local pub can and should do. You're not Bumpkin and on present form you won't be.

Its worth a short wait and the staff can move the queue like nobody's business! Just remember, the queue is there to show you how good they are - everyone goes there! I'd recommend them without a doubt.
Rating: 4.2

Location: 178 Regent Street, W1B 5TH, London, United Kingdom

Phone: 020 7287 9441

Website: http://www.starbucks.co.uk
Starbucks sells coffee and other snacks.
Although a little more expensive than some other coffee shops it does provide quality coffee and a great choice of snacks.
It gets very busy at lunchtimes but staff are very quick to make and serve the coffee.
They also have a selection of newspapers and magazines for you to read while you relax with your coffee.
The store also offers gift vouchers which are ideal for birthday presents for friends and family who regularly use starbucks...although a £5 voucher will not go very far!
The store is bright and has lots of seats and tables - it is very roomy so you dont have to squeeze through!
