At first glance you would think One Paston Place was a romantic and posh venue. I'd say one of those is true if you think cost equals poshness!

Don't get me wrong i was a great night out, but as has already been said in one earlier review, you don't get a minutes peace! Attentive waiters are usually a good idea when they aren't in your face, but somehow we both felt it was overdone here.

That said, the food was amazing and well worth the constant interruptions! The tastes were out of this world.

So i'd say go for some great food, expect to pay more than the average meal and don't expect to be able to gaze into each others eyes!

Pretty formal atmosphere - although more relaxed (and better value) at lunch time when they do a set lunch menu. In the evening it's best behaviour time, but the food is worth it. They make their own bread and petit-fours and the most amazing amuse bouches. It's not very big and the tables feel quite close together when they're full. The service is very attentive, which can be a bit off-putting if you're looking for intimacy - but go for the foodie extravaganza and you won't be let down.

Truly splendid food and first class service. It's not cheap but everyone deserves a treat and I wouldn't hesitate in going back.In my opinion, the finest restaurant in Brighton.
