As you would expect from the name the Burgers are definitely gourmet! An interesting selection is available including spicy satay, mozzarella and pesto and the kiwiburger! The portions are a good size and all burgers are served with salad. Chips cost extra but not to expensive. There is a good selection of drinks available (alcoholic and non). The smoothies are nice and freshly made.

You order and pay at the bar, the service was efficient and the waiters friendly. Clean tables and a modern interior give the place a trendy feel. Would definitely come and try another gourmet burger!

Gormet Burger Kitchen is a burger place that is different. I say this because the meat isn't processed factory meat but instead the meat is good quality. Though you can tell this from the price I think the burgers are every bit worth the money. You can take away and the service is a quick easy ring up, order, fetch. They have a wide range of burgers, salads and milkshakes. The restaurant has a homely feel and it is not at all protentious but instead definitely worth your money and is a place to go if you just can't be bothered to cook another meal and want to treat yourself in an easy way.

This Gourmet Burger Kitchen is a very central branch located in the herat of Covent Garden.
The restaurant offers a big variety of burgers from classic ones to more sophisticated ones like vegetarian, boar or even buffalo.
The restaurant is quite big and has a good decoration and a good quantity seats.
The hamburgers are really tasty and well done and there are also salads and good side dishes like fries or olives.
The beer is very expensive and they only have bottle beer.
I love the food that they serve, this place is really nice to go with friends and have an informal lunch.

Tasty European food served by staff who genuinely seem to care if you like it. Happy to check ingredients for cream for my partner who's lactose-intolerant. Nice atmosphere and although it can be bit noisy when its full, you can usually find a quiet corner. Been there several times and never disappointed.

I found this place form here as i read that some TP memebers went there so i thought id go check it out myself.

It a nice little resturant close to charing cross station. We only had to wait a couple of minutes to get a table but it was a Saturday at 12.30 so the place was packed.

I scrolled down the menu and was suprised to see no fish on the menu. I was very dissapointed as they had loads of meat choices .... i mean atleast one fish burger would have been nice.

I decided to order the falaful burger instead. it can filled with salad, hummous, relish and sauses. it was amazing. i order a side order of chips and a bottle of water which all came to 12 pound something, which i think was very good as the burger was jam packed. it was really filling.

I didnt like the fact that its a tiny place but you still have to get up and order your food from the counter. and if you catch the queue at a bad time you could be waiting for a bit. but we didnt have to wait too long for out food which was good.

i liked the way they are concentrating on just getting the burgers right and not fussing around with other stuff like starters and deserts etc etc but if they had fish on the memu this was would be the best place ever.... so if your reading this Mr GBK ADD FISH TO THE MEMU!!!!!!!!

Check this place out but try and avoid hotspot times.

I do love noodles, but am a fussy eater and find that often the meals on offer at places like Wagamama are not to my taste. Then one day I was reading about a small chain of dim sum & noodle restaurants called Dim T which sounded promising - they have a 'Noodle Bar' where you can choose the type of noodles you want, and then match them with the 'topping' of your choice. The concept reminded me of my fav noodle place back in Sydney.

So, I was happy one Sunday when we went to do a tour inside City Hall, and whilst enjoying the panoramic views from the top floor I spotted a Dim T in the new More London development. That was lunch sorted then.

We received a warm greeting at Dim T and chose a table in the middle of the room. I liked the modern dÃ©cor, and particularly liked the views from the first floor - looking over Tower Bridge (though this area wasn't in use when we were there). Service was a bit slow - our Aussie waitress explained that they were short-staffed - though friendly.

To eat, we shared some Steamed pork buns - well, how could we resist! And they were good. Main course for me was the Shanghai noodles, with chicken and the 'Healthy' topping of pak choi, peas, cashew nuts, broccoli & savoy cabbage. I think all meals should come with cashew nuts. Alex also had the Shanghai noodles with chicken, but chose the 'Teriyaki' topping, consisting off oyster mushrooms, spinach & sugar snap peas, with teriyaki sauce.

The serving size wasn't as huge as some of the other noodles places we have eaten at, but was more than enough. The ingredients were good quality and flavours were fairly good. The appearance was a little 'home cooked' in a way, and I liked that.

I actually went to the gloucester road one but I guess the food is the same in all of them. Me and a friend shared chicken gyoza, duck spring rolls, wonton soup, wasabi chicken dim sum, scallop dim sum, pork and prawn dim sum, sirloin steak and noodle stir fry with thai topping, a pot of pu erh tea and a pot of gun powder tea. It all came to Â£30.70 which is pretty good because we were stuffed!

The gyoza and spring rolls were really average and nothing to write home about. The wonton soup was pretty decent, it came with bok choi and loads of shitake mushrooms and a clear, flavoursome soup. The downside is you only get 3 wontons.

The dim sum were alright actually (better than I expected). You get 3 in a portion and they were quite big and the wrapping is a bit thicker than it should be and not made with the elegance of authentic dim sum. The wasabi chicken one was interesting but the scallop dim sum didn't seem to actually contain any scallop!!

The stir fried noodles were a let down. It came warm, not hot and was pretty bland. The thai sauce topping wasn't spicy at all and just tasted of coconut and not much else.

Of the teas, the pot of gun powder was really tasty and fitted perfectly with the rest of the meal. One pot is actually enough for 2 (which we didn't know lol).

I would come back for the tea and the wonton soup.

Dim T is situated on the south bank of the Thames overlooking Tower Bridge and City Hall. For the uninitiated, the view is truly impressive - the More London redevelopment has totally transformed this part of the riverside into uber-cool.

The menu is based on Thai Asian - with a reasonable selection of oriental dishes. The Dim Sum (steamed parcels of yummy stuff encased in gelatinous noodle) are extremely tasty and are available almost instantaneously in a wide selection of varieties. The 'create your own' noodle bar is fun - I chose to go for sliced sirloin steak with thick Shanghai noodles, Hong Kong topping served in a Tom Yum broth - presented in a huge bowl.

Specialist tea selections are available to complement the meal - I selected a pot of Ginger Tea with honey - which produced eight cups - enough to last for the duration of the meal.

Prices are surprisingly low considering the venue - I paid GBP 23 for lunch for two with drinks and tip for the attentive staff.

I thoroughly recommend Dim T and award it a solid 8 out of 10 on my personal scale!

Comfortable and uber-modern hotel adjoining the smart new More London development on the South Bank. Always full, expect high prices. Booking well in advance is essential if you want to get in here.

Every aspect of this hotel is priced for the well heeled business traveller - for example, breakfast is GBP 21 and a 24 broadband pass is GBP 15!

The staff are highly trained and courteous as one would expect from one of the top UK Hilton establishments.

There is no easy local parking, so not a good choice if you are thinking of driving. However, London Bridge station (with exceedingly good connections by rail and tube) is but 150 metres away on Tooley Street. There is a cab rank directly opposite the main entrance.

I visited this restaurant with our colleagues on a Tuesday evening. We were quite surprised at how quiet the place was - ours was one of six tables being waited upon - there was plenty of space.

The menu was 'European' with a French twist - presentation was good and taste was fine. Staff were happy and courtious (and Polish - is the ANYONE left in Poland these days?)

I awarded a good 7 out of 10 overall.

Ahhh good old GBK, I've been to a few GBK the last year around London. They've always delivered quality burgers and filled my appetite to satisfaction. Yesterday I went there with a few TrustedPlaces members who as you can see on the video also enjoyed their time at GBK, even if at times was to make jokes at my expense. Any way enjoy the video:

A group of us from TP went there last night, as we couldn't get into fire and stone, which was on the opposite side of the road. I have never been and there was universal shock that I hadn't tried their burgers, so it had to be done.

2 of us ordered the Cheese burger which was massive (as you can see from the photo). The beef patties were thick and juicy, and the burger also had a lot of melted cheese and relish with lettuce. My friend ordered a chicken salad and we had some nice thick cut chips. The burger was delicious and I still had the taste of it in my mouth hours afterwards which sounds gross but really wasn't! The salad was said to be full of too much lettuce and not enough chicken but was still tasty. The chips were nice and thick but the sauces were a bit of a let down especially a funny green one, which we thought was blue cheese but taste like wasabi in a sauce! Bizarre. The garlic mayo was also not too good (and we had asked for regular mayonnaise as well!).

The service was great and the waiters were friendly which is always a plus in this town. If you are craving a good tasty fat burger and in Covent Garden this will hit the spot and the prices are reasonable as well.

The review below regarding the décor is spot on but I thought it was fine and homely and ordering and paying at the counter meant that you didn't have to worry about getting the waiter's attention once you had finished the meal and had to rush for the train!

Now, I'm a chemist by background. Not of the dispensing type. No, the kind what hangs about in labs making smelly compounds. I don't do it now, but I used to. The analytical techniques you are taught, and the stench of halogens, live with you always.

Back in the teaching labs, we used to play a version of hangman (you kids probably call it hangperson these days) where the mystery word was a chemical compound. See, chemistry really can be fun.

As a veterans of this specialist game, my mind was stimulated by a trip to More London recently.

'dim t' said the sign. 'Dimethyl sulphoxide', I guessed.

But then I realised that would be stupid. The letter 'i' has already been guessed, so it can't be a sulphoxide. Besides, international convention is to spell all sulfur compouds with an 'f' these days (pandering to the Americans).

After further investigation, it seemed my guess was even further out than I'd imagined. dim t, it seems, is a small-chain restaurant specialising in dim sum. I don't know what the chemical formula for dimsum is, but I would hope it doesn't include too much sulphur. Or indeed sulfur.

I went in to investigate.

Oh boy, I'll be going back, even if they don't like word games.

They really look after you. Customer service has been drilled into the staff to such an extent you could almost see the rawlplugs. When they forgot our drinks, the apologetic scene was like the Monty Python greasy fork sketch. We got the drinks for free, plus a complimentary bowl of upper-class prawn crackers.

It's hard to concentrate on what you're eating, when there's a gorgeous view of Tower Bridge out of the window, and you're still trying to construct hangman solutions for dim t.

But I guess I should mention the food. It wasn't half bad, though the seafood laksa lacked seafood.

In summary: Maybe they do like wordplay after all.

Just like at a pub, you decide what you want and then go up to the counter to order it. When your order is ready they bring it to your table. We waited a reasonable amount of time but there was a 5 minute gap between my friends getting their meal and me getting mine. The menu looks exciting with many different variations on the humble burger. The beef patties are all served medium rare unless you request otherwise. I ordered the Satay Burger. The satay sauce was delicious but there was not enough of it on the burger for my liking. My friends ordered a Thai Chicken burger and a Barbeque burger and they thoroughly enjoyed theirs.

I think for the price of the burger (£6-9), chips or salad should have come with it. It seemed extortionate to pay £2.45 for a tiny side order of ordinary chips. They were not curly or crinkled or seasoned with gourmet spices so they were quite disappointing really.

The décor is a mixture of hard wood and metal which made for a very noisy atmosphere. It was not easy to have a conversation without raising our voices so the experience was not as relaxed as we would have liked. The art was okay but the prints looked cheap, which made the overall look of the place seem cobbled together at the last minute. However, the Ladies Room looked good and were obviously well-maintained.

This place is ok if you fancy a burger that's a little bit more special than one you'd find in a pub or fast food chain. The high prices of the drinks and the plain side dishes would make me think twice about a return visit.

Been here a few times and the food is always a winner. A great place for a gossipy dinner with friends, casual work lunch, romantic dateâ¬¦ Basically for all and any occasion. Good wine list and also brill breakfast venue - you don't necessarily have to put those two things together though. Service fast and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and cosy.
