a bit of Maghreb in LondonOverall, our experience at Momo's was very good.
The athmosphere is great although a bit noisy at times (background music), but the service is very friendly and efficient.

We took the sea food Tagine and Momo's couscous. The semolina was light, the veg were etremely tasty and the lamb perfectly cooked.

There is also a nice selection of Moroccan wines; the one we chose (Cabernet ... cannot remember the name!) was excellent!

The only little thing I did not like was the fact that you have to leave a credit card in order to secure the reservation of the table which really surprised me ... even 3 star Michelin restaurants do not do that, and you have the table for 2 hours. I wonder if they would have kicked me out after 2 hours!

The cheapest French restaurant in London?After nearly 3 years in London I finally found my "canteen": the place I'd go when I do not feel like cooking or when I am a bit home sick!

Last night we went to this tiny little place and we left very pleased.

The menu is very simple. Salmon "en Papillotte", Cod "a la Provencale", portions are not enormous but enough.

The atmosphere is really like the one you'd have in a corner restaurant in France and the service is very friendly and fast (there are only 12 seats, though!).

Ok, you might say, fine ... ood's alright, portions are not enormous .... so what is great about this Little French Restaurant?

I will answer detailing our bill:

3 course dinner at less than Â£10! HOW ABOUT THAT?!
At Â£9.95 the menu, we were very pleased.
Our bill Â£44:
- 2 x 3-course menus@ Â£9.95
- 1 bottle of wine
- 2 side orders (no veg are included with the main courses)
- 1 coffee

The 4 star I give are really for the great value of this charming little place.

Best sea food on the islandThis is an institution in Malta.

this restaurant overlooking the bay of Saint Julian is apparently one of the best restaurant on the island.

I do not know if this is the best but everything we had was excellent. The carpaccio of octopus was delicious, the rabbit was perfectly cooked and tender the dessert was exquisite!

The wine was not unforgettable! ... Malta is not known for the quality of its wines but we were pleased to give it a chance.

The view is lovely and the service was very professional and at the same level as the ones you'd get in Paris or London.

Over all a very good experience!

Wistub "La Petite Venise"Start with a very warm welcoming;
Then add a very nice decor;
Add this mix to a nice tradionnal Alsace meal;
Serve with a chilled Riesling;

This is the simple recipe for a very nice time in beautiful Colmar;

The decor is rustic and the restaurant is located in the Little Venice of Alsace, a real jewel and Unesco World Heritage.

The waiters are very friendly and really show they care about you. They would spend 15 minutes to (try to) translate the menu to you.

The menu is traditional and the dishes we had were full a flavours and the ingredients tasted very fresh.

It is hard to explain ... just go it will save some pixels!

When tradition meets with innovationIn the heart of the unesco World Heritage old Krakow, Wierzynek (pronounce "Viejenek") is worth increasing a bit the food budget in this country where food is very cheap (UK Standards). You will still find it is affordable if you are used to London prices!

The building built in 1367 is a jewel and has always been in restaurant! Polish kings used to dine there!

The menu is a mix of old Polish traditional dishes and innovative Cuisine with a little French touch.

The wines are mainly from France.

The Service is high standards and English is spoken.

A must do if you pass by beautiful Krakow!

A trip back in timeWelcome to the oldest cinema in the World!

built in 1928, the theatre itself is worth going to. Except for the seats far more comfortable now than the wooden chairs from the 20's, everything is just amazing.

When you come in, no pop corn or soft drink dispensers! instead there is a little terrace where you enjoy the chocolate tarts and other delicious pastries that are sold in this unique venue.

The Piano used in the 30's is still next to the stage.
and the movies played change daily.

Many Premieres are being played here, mostly independent movies.

Movies are sometimes played in original language with french subtitles (no french dubbing) so this should please to the non french speaking cinema lovers.

Being in the art of Montmartre, there are a lot of restaurants in the area for before or after the show.

Nice surpriseAs the restaurant we normally wanted to have dinner ended up being closed (and we had reserved!), we were a bit desperate because we really wanted to have a nice and romantic dinner.

Eventually we saw a group of stylish and classy Portuguese people. I asked them where they were going and they said Matilde Noca.

We decided that at this point it was this or order room service at the hotel!

WHAT A SURPRISE!
THe restaurant is rather modern but the traditional dishes are the best we had had since our arrival a week prior!

The restaurant overlooks the city. The food is rich and full of flavours.

The service is very friendly and they speak english and french.

Prices are really low (to UK standards)

The dining room tends to be a bit crowded though and that is the only bad remark I would make.

3 in 1!You can easily divide the type of food served at Carlyle in 3 categories:
- The Brunch: one of the best in the Washington area. Everything is fresh, everything is big and everything is tasty!

-On the ground floor, you'll find the bar where all cocktail can be served, TVs showing the different US games and the casual restaurant. The menu consists of salads, fantastic soups, and simple but still fine dishes. The mahi mahi is great!

-The first floor is a "must reserve". The nicer restaurant where the cuisine is more refine, the dshes more sophisticated and the service a bit more attentive.

The food overall is a mix of French, Asian and Caribbean cuisine. I love it! The coffee is great too (yes, I found a good coffee in the US!!)- The Tuna is FANTASTIC!

Wine and SushisWe have never been at the restaurant on the ground floor. I will only be commenting the Bar at the lower ground floor which we like very much.

The prices are a bit high but the dÃ©cor is stylish and the wines are excellent.

THe quality of the sushis is exceptional but pricy.

We still like the place and enjoy going there sometimes (after pay day!)

Tourist trapWhat is the point of going to a place where they take you an arm and a leg for an espresso, where you are surrounded with American and Japanese tourists when you can go to hundreds other places and have the real thing?

The time when French intellectuals and students were at the terrace of Les Deux Magots discussing and rebuilding the Wordl is long gone! They also want to be in better places and far away from the very noisy, polluted and crowded Boulevard Saint Germain.

When France and England meetWe went twice to Langan's Coq d'Or and both times we loved it. The cuisine tends a lot on the French side but a touch of English cuisine makes the food really unique.

The wines are good too - We had an excellent New Zealand red last time we went and we keep talking about it!

We really like it AND prices are reasonable.

Comme Ã la maison!Finally I found an inexpensive French place in London where the food and the atmosphere is just like back home!

The "patron" is a character and the menu could be the one you find in a little corner restaurant. No wonder it is always full of French people!

The Toulouse Sausage is great and the duck Magret is delicious.

Come early as the place is quite small despite the few table at the lower ground floor.

Veni, Vedi, Vino!Being French I love my wines and on a short trip to the Eternal City, I walked almost randomly in this restaurant located on a tiny square not too far from the Vatican City.

I did not think this restaurant had anything unique until I was handed the wine list! A fantastic selection coming from all over the Peninsula!

And the food, then? Simply delicious. The menu is a mix of traditional and fine Italian Cuisine.

What was also amazing is that this place was almost empty went I walked in. An hour later, it was packed by classy Romans waiting patiently for a table.

I guess I was just fortunate to have a table in this great place.

Finally, it is possible to buy the wine you had for dinner with a 10% discount!

Off the beaten pathTired of walking on High Street Kensington, just stop at The Muffin Man tea.

The service is warm by lovely polish waitresses, the food is simple and cheap!

It is just nice to find this quite place so close to the busy shops around.
