Octave is a lovely place as a restaurant or a bar.
The food on offer is very tasty and there is a wide variety of dishes. I prefer the bar myself; they have a good menu of classic cocktails, as well as new variations. The bar is quite long and thereâ¬"s lots of room for seating. This does get filled up quite quickly so get there early ish to get a seat.
As well as cocktails, they have a good collection of liqueurs, spirits, and the usual wine and beers.
As for the jazz, the two times Iâ¬"ve been when a band were playing the music was of good quality, the sound was at the perfect level, you could hear the ban clearly, but you were also able to chat to your friends, which makes for a good atmosphere.
The prices are very good for London at around Â£8 for a cocktail.

A nice jazz-bar but in truth a much better restaurant-with-jazz. The jazz is pretty average but the food is excellent and the music is quiet enough that you can eat and talk while the music is playing which makes for a great romantic evening. Highly recommended as a place to take the g/f but not really a great place to hang out and listen to jazz.

Fantastic jazz and great drinks. A wonderful place to either start or end a night out.

This is a jazz bar located on Endell Street. The atmosphere is good and the cocktails are great.

I haven't eaten here yet but I hear the food is great too.

Ideal for post work drinks or somewhere to relax after a shopping spree...

This pub has a great atmosphere and the music is very rock/goth oriented which is a breath of fresh air from some of the rubbish the majority of pubs churn out but, at the same time, not loud enough to drown out any conversation.

Decor in line with the gothic theme and spooky loos which are quite cool!

Get there early to get a table as its always busy. Reasonably priced drinks with polite staff who'll serve you quickly.

Perfect pre-gig or post-shopping as its behind Oxford Street.
