Can't help thinking it's not the same. by damo1977

The ground floor is quite small and cramped.

As soon as we sat down a member of staff came over and asked it we were eating. We weren't, so we were told we couldn't stay on the ground floor. We went up the stairs where there was another bar. This was even smaller then the lower bar, but had no-one in it.

We went out onto a little terrace overlooking the street and the railway line. This wasn't too bad as you had a good view of the crowds in Camden High Street, complete with a street entertainer playing music using his bike.

It's a pub you feel you need to go to if you love Camden, but I think it probably was a lot different to this before the fire.

I wouldn't go in if you paid me now.

If you like spotting your 'friends' from MySpace, don't mind fully emptying your pockets for some hula hoops in a mug (really) and dream of discovering Noel Fielding in one of the Ladies' toilets then The Hawley is truly for you. If you're not into queuing for half an hour to get into a packed room of pretentious teen idiots lit by fairy lights and craning their necks to see who else is in there then avoid this place like the plague.

Sorry lovely crew at The Hawley, I'm just a bitter ex-lover and I hope you're being put back together the way you once were...

Is she actually wearing a mango on her head? by VixBix
