This is, by far, the best place in Bath for afternoon tea. It is fairly expensive, but worth it, if not for the ambience alone. With the huge sparkling chandeliers above and the Pump Room Trio playing, the atmosphere is very romantic and sophisticated. The service is attentive and professional, with some waiters dressed in period costume. The lunches are also a very tasty affair, although the food is not the main draw here. You can't come to Bath and not have afternoon tea here. Fabulous setting and at peak times they have a string quartet playing. The afternoon tea is excellent if pricey and an experience not to be missed.
