It has such a wide variety of fashions and accessories to choose from, that there is some thing for every one. We went looking for some funky trousers and found a lot of colours and styles that we liked. Have been many times looking for different stuff and have never been unable to find a bargain. I have found that some stalls can be over priced, so plead poverty and haggle a bit for their best prices. The selection of food out lets is great too and never fails to please. A great place to shop till you drop

The market is vibrant and home to great vintage clothing, street food and inevitable tourist tat. The market area is situated near the underground station and near the lock and is very easy to get to from surrounding areas such as harrow, Enfield and Finchley. Camden is also only 2 stops away from Leister square making it great for hanging out in before catching a film. The area is home to many an indie institution such koko and the electric ballroom and many bands. The area is well known by pick pockets so one should keep their wits about them.

It does get really busy - so much so that the underground station which is just 5 minutes away is often packed with people looking for a bargain. As you get out of the station the people spill onto the pavements.

There is a good vibe in Camden, music playing in the street, people standing around chatting. Follow the crowds if you're unsure where to go.

The market has a mix of things for sale from jewellery, bags, clothing to antiques and vintage clothing. There is lots to look at and even more to spend money on!
There are plenty of food stalls selling all manner of things if you need to take a break from the shopping. You really need a few hours to look around properly and find yourself a bargain or two, so pace yourself and enjoy!

With the canal so close, on summer days it can get especially busy.
It is also a place that you can find not only bargains but rare and items as there are many 'second hand' boutiques around.
Camden is a place pulsing with energy and friendly people. There is a wide range of food available from all over the world, which is in keeping with the culture.
I felt a little intimidated the first time i went there but now i love it and go regularly.
Its an absolute must for London!!!!

It's got witty t-shirts, gothic clothes, cool badges, a whole variety of belt buckles, band hoodies, and then some of that freaky slimy stuff (I don't know WHAT it is, but it's weird)

Whatever your fashion tastes are, you'll probably find something to buy in the market, but of course, it'll be much easier to find if you like the goth/punk/new wave type stuff.

Personally, I go for the hoodies and the funny t-shirts. New t-shirts come along occasionally, matching current TV shows, films, news, etc (for example, the more recently seen t-shirt saying "Hiro is my hero!" relating to the TV show "Heroes")

One thing I would say to everyone is do NOT buy things at the price they say! HAGGLE! Nothing in Camden is worth what they try to sell it as, so they'll normally bring down the price a good 25/50%. Also, keep your cash in notes of lesser values - when they ask for £15, bring out a £10 note and innocently say that it's all the money you have left. But those are just my tricks :P

Anyway, I really recommend that everyone goes to Camden at least once (tourists included!)

Whether you're there for a browse or serious spending (at all sorts of prices), you should come away happy here.

Focusing on the market, there is mainly rocky shops selling clothing such as band t shirt, vintage, you're more tacky (in my opinion) tourist stuff. Also a jewelry store which sells really cool stuff at really low prices (Iâ¬"ve got sensitive ears but still never had a problem but be careful), lots of cool shapes (zips, stars, normal studs, lots of other weird and wonderful designs).

Also around the area are lots of great places to eat food (thereâ¬"s an area by the lock with lots of Chinese stores), or just sit by the lock and watch the world go by.

A really interesting place, if only for the diversity of people you get there, definitely worth visiting.

Caught the tube from Tottenham Court Road to Camden Town - Northern Line. Then 2 minutes walk up to the markets - so many to choose from - brilliant. Rain or shine, it would not really matter, much is under cover. Apparently you can pick up a boat/barge trip up to Regents Park Zoo. Take a camera, the amazing fascias above the shops around the market areas are brilliant! There are numerous foodstalls to try of every nationality and several cafe bars.
