This pub used to be more popular in that it had live bands and was packed at weekends. It seems to have become a lot quieter and is more suited to those who want a quiet drink in the afternoons. The decor inside the pub is a bit dull and really could do with a birt of updating or refurbishment or preferably both. The service is good and the staff are very plesant and chatty. The beer is good and their is a good lunchtime food selction. I would recommend it for a quiet lunchtime drink and a good lunchtime meal.
