If you like your footy you can't go wrong with Xtra. It has a quite showy, flashy bar and the seating is really plush.

I quite enjoy this place on the off-days - the non-Saturday days when you can go in and have a beer with some mates and just chill out and pretend you're not in Kettering.

Xtra's always been a great place to start the night off with a laugh and a cavort. It's a darn sight more fun than a lot of the other bars in town and there's never any trouble. It's just a nice pub with a lot going for it.

If it did some different beers too, apart from the usual trendy stuff, it would be a great pub and merit a full four stars. This place used to be quite something, a cool, modern bar with a friendly landlord and top notch pub grub. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone down the nic a bit now somebody else has taken over (although I hear recently it has got better). Its on the expensive side for the town, but they have an excellent larger selection (lacking in bitter really) and DJs on on Friday & Saturday nights. Wetherspoons next door gives them a run for their money, undercutting them on pretty much everything; if you're willing to pay you do end up with funkier surroundings.
