I've had better meals in McDonalds and have not felt robbed.

It is possible we caught them on a bad day as other people were having similar issues. The only problem is that it has put me off from ever going there again. Shame because from the outside it looks quite nice.

The food is American themed and there is plenty of choice on the menu. The décor is wonderful and adds to the great feel of the restaurant. The food is really nice and definitely leaves you feeling full. But do remember it is at London prices but you get some decent food and atmosphere. They do sometimes do specials; when we went, there was a special menu that was cheaper. The service is polite and relatively quick. For a meal after the theatre, itâ¬"s well placed and inviting enough for a try.

The food is good but the prices are a bit steep, as another reiewer said similar o TGI Fridays. The burger dishes are delicous. The staff are patient andinformative. The atmosphere is relaxed and is great for birthday / dinner parties. Wheni ate here recenly there was no waiting queue and we were seated straight away. The restaurant is kept in pristince condition. Do not hesitate to go in for something great to eat! The prices for the theatre tie in meals are also reasonable.

Staff were polite and really attentive and the food was quick to be served. Overall, a really good night out - definitely recommended - but not if you're short of cash!

I'd go back for the dessert.... by lightlines

A friend and I went in just to have dessert - we were hustled through by the waitress at around 5.30 to a table with four seats, which I thought was strange! We were then asked to move upstairs because it was their theatre rush hour and basically wouldn't be spending enough money. I didn't have any problem with that, but didn't like the overly efficacious manner in which she went about it. Nevermind that, she then attempted to seat us at the bar, which was full (and where I didn't want to sit), she then palmed us off to another waitress who attempted to seat us next to a pillar at the top of the stairs near the entrance. I made my discomfort known and was politely moved somewhere else (with only two seats, finally!), by this time some 10 minutes having passed since we stepped foot in the place.

The service after that was great (a waiter with humour!) and the dessert of sticky toffee pudding and pistachio ice cream was wonderful.

Still, the place is a bit loud, so I probably wouldn't go there if I wanted to chat, but if it were with a group of friends it would be fine.

We were seated towards the front of the restaurant which I didn't like as it was cold (with people coming in and out of the restaurant) and I hate the way restaurants do that to try and lure people in. Food was good though (even sweeter with Daily Mail discount). I had catch of the day (Sea Bream), my boyfriend had ribs. Service was speedy and polite. Would go again (with discount).

Maxwell´s in Covent Garden is the majestic, two-tiered flagship restaurant which sits snugly next to the Opera House.
There is seating for 18 guests on the front terrace which affords front seat views of the carnival of artists performing along James Street.
Inside you will discover a vast, effervescent, 300-cover setting with an elegant wood bar stretching into the distance. There are also private booths on the lip of the mezzanine where you can relax in the embrace of dark wood surrounds and look down onto those eating and dancing on the lower level.
This American style eatery is popular with young and old alike, great for pre or post theatre dining or just to sit al fresco and watch the street artists show their skills in the heart of Covent Garden.
Chef´s Speciality Dish:
Maxwell´s hamburger our famous 1/2lb ground prime steak burger charbroiled, ´cradled´ with lettuce, tomato, red onion and gherkin in a sesame seed bun
