Run by a family of friendly Italians who can whip up a ham salad bap faster than you can say spaghetti.
Breakfast here is the forte though, any combinations of fri-up you can imagine gets gobbled up by local builders hunched over cool formica 60's tables and benches. The toast here really is something else, freshly cut bloomer bread makes for a crispy crust and fluffy white insides, AND they have just the right touch with marmite too, not too little, not too much, masterful! All washed down with proper tea the colour of bricks, it's a joy.

Review by TheMoth

Rating: 3.00
Tags:
Very popular with the nearby office workers because it is cheap, fast and the food is good; the sandwich bar has a decent variety of bread and fillings and the cooked food is made fresh - you can see the kitchen from the counter.

It can get insanely busy at lunchtimes (12-2ish), but a two-tier queue system (one for those wanting take-away, one for eat-in) keeps things brisk.

In the morning, I can strongly recommend their toast. Butter not margarine and slices from a bloomer rather than your usual sliced white.
