The tour of Lords Cricket Ground was very interesting. The tour took us to all parts of the cricket ground and we saw the stands and behind the scenes places such as the long room with pictures of famous cricketers and the players locker rooms. The tour lasted a couple of hours and was very thorough and interesting. The tour also takes you to see the actual ground, but you can't go onto the actual grass as it is not allowed. However I would definitely recommend the tour as a worthwhile experience for a cricket fan, or any sports fan.

However, Lord's was extremely nice, and I found it to be a very civilised place in which to spend a day. I particularly liked the garden in the centre, although I found that the park-keepers took a particularly jobsworthy approach to the rules, and were ridiculously strict about visitors going for a wander on the lawns.

I was also unimpressed by the thugs in the centre who seemed determined to try to smack stones off sticks at the crowds sitting down at the edge. That no one had the guts to tell them to stop it speaks volume about Blair's Britain. Overall though, a fine day.

Lords is located in a leafy london area (st johns wood) it has beautiful scenery. As soon as you get near it you can see the huge media centre which really catches the eye! The stadium tour provides a great insight into the history of lords and the game of cricket. A must for cricket adicts!

The ground is a great place to watch top class cricket. Middlesex regularly play their matches here as do England. The prices are very reasonable (Around £15 for middlesex games) although be warned flags are strictly banned at the home of cricket!

HOME OF CRICKET by ajay73

The entire/behind the scenes of the stadium. A visit to the museum is also included. You easily spend 2 to 3 hours at the Lord's.

The downfall is that you have to go specifically there since there are no other attractions in the near-by . Apart, the nearest underground is quite off centre at St.John Wood Tube station, and the stadium is a good 3/4 hour distant from the underground.

So, if you're not really interest in cricket and/or stadia, there is surely better ways to spend half a day in London
