Cecconi's is probably the top Italian restaurant in London when it comes to business; the River Cafe and Zafferano are both better for mainly social gatherings. As one reviewer has noted, Cecconi's is a place where one can run into 'heavies' - and not just one account of the size of their wallets. But go for some sublime dishes - the Tagliolini Verdi Gratiati comes immediately to mind - and superlative Italian wines - like the Sforza I had last time. It is undoubtedly one of the best Italian places in the West end. Superb cocktails; excellent staff and meals (as it should be for the price). I have only been to Cecconi's for breakfast and it has been a pleasurable experience on each occassion.

Lively and fun decor, terrific food and excellent service.
