A great stopping off spot between the West End and the Southbank, my parents highly recommend the sausages - special guest sausages on the menu every day - but no other food so not a great place to take your vegetarian friends.

Beer is very good and well kept and atmosphere downstairs is busy and fun. More room upstairs but the furniture is really weird - completely out of keeping with the history of the place.

Usually has real cider, sometimes has perry.(Currently New Forest cider).Often very busy down stairs but there's often room to sit upstairs. Great for sitting by the windows people watching, chatting and sharing a cold glass of cider.
Haven't tried the food - seems to be mostly sausages.
