They were out of the first three things that we ordered and without checking with us, changed over the ingredients in a pasta so that it was virtually inedible. We sent back a plate of oysters because they smelled awful and were quite obviously not fresh. Lastly - the manner in which the waitstaff dealt with the issues was haugty and rude. It was not a busy time and I was horrified by their lack of professionalism and their attitude. I would avoid and spend your money at the multitude of other local establishments.

Been here few times for dinner and on company do's. Enjoyed the Classic Platter that will set you back about £29 for 1 and £50 for 2. Consists of Devonshire crab, shell on prawns, brown shrimps, cockles, whelks, rope grown mussels, green lip mussels and fine de claire oysters. Lots of other things on the menu too. Some other non fish items available on the menu too like pasta. Its really a meal out thats a treat (I think). You will like it, its very black and white tiles all round. I recommend that you book as its always busy.

Fresh fish! by foodbymark

We had dinner here on a Wednesday night when it was about 40-50% capacity on covers. We started with whitebait (shared), which were lightly battered and not too salty with a refreshing tzatziki dip. Between us we had the Roasted fillet of organic salmon (melted in your mouth) and Cod and Chips with Mushy Peas (perfectly battered, chips just the right crunch, and tasty peas!). All that was accompanied by a bottle of Pinot Grigio Provincia di Pavia (note quite as crisp and dry as I like my Pinot to be).

Service was impeccable - friendly, informative and speedy. A great early evening meal which came to a tad over £60 including tip.
