The people and music were great. Everyone was really friendly from the owner, the lovely waitresses and the band that was playing - they even let me accompany them with the tambourine, that's how friendly. All this place needs is a few more people to fill it up as it was not that busy on a Friday.

Authentic Brazil by Mez

It's small and cosy, and although the decor left me a bit cold at first (I expected warmer more Brazilian-like colours), the atmosphere certainly more than compensated for it (plus they definitely got the lighting right). The Brazilian band that was playing that night was fantastic. The drummer even shared some of his instruments with me! I was drumming away with the band the whole night in between the samba dances.. The music was really good (mixture of chilled bossanova and rhythmic samba tunes). Call them to find out whats playing on the night as they also play Jazz, which Im looking forward to sampling.. They also serve food. We tried the yummy Brazilian desserts and exotic fruit cocktails..... The management and staff were very friendly, and the crowd 90% Brazilian.... Ill definitely be back..

You like Brazil? You like friendly bar staff? You like talented & sexy musicians performing before your very eyes? Of course you do, so why not do yourself a favour and go check it this cool new addition to London's Brazilian scene. Tucked away in a far-flung corner of Highgate, it aint exactly central, but on Friday night's showing its worth the effort (even if you do get lost and walk for 1.5 hours trying to find an address that doesn't exist). But this is a good thing. Its a small, very initimate location that will be spoiled if it gets too busy, so hopefully only the dedicated few will frequent this place to keep it enjoyable for all the punters. The murals and dim lighting really set off the interior a treat and give it a real blues/jazz bar feel. Vamos la gente!

It is completely unpretentious and seems to have a genuine Brazilian feel to it (all the clients conversing in Portuguese and singing along to the Brazilian songs gives it a pretty genuine feel). It is completely new so it seems to be finding its feet in terms of the atmosphere. However the music is good (live bands play), bar staff are nice and the decor is quite eye catching. Well worth a look.
