Some places are worth going to just for the ambiance. The brick oven behind the bar, the good service and the Italian and Spanish pop playing in the background, Rustico really does feel a bit like you are outside of Tel Aviv.

The menu isn't huge if you aren't in for pizza or pasta it might be hard to find a fit, but what they do serve, they serve well (And frankly, pizza or pasta is the reason to go in the first place). There is also wide selection of interesting appetizers that can be mixed and matched with friends.

It's not as romantic as some of the other Italian places in Tel Aviv, but it does have an environment that can lead to a starry-eyed date. On the other hand you'd feel perfectly at home with a few friends having lunch or dinner for no special reason.

All in all, the atmosphere at Rustico is the real charm of the place and the fresh bread/foccacia is to die for.
