We went to see Bon Jovi perform at Shepherds Bush Empire a few years back.

It has a very small capacity compared to their normal huge stadium concerts so the tickets were sold out practically straight away and it was amazing to be so fortunate.

The queue starts around the building hours beforehand and then once inside it is very steep towards the top at the back where we were and felt rather dizzy if you're not a fan of heights! It was not a very comfy experience as a viewer but the music made up for it. This is one of the best places in london to see your favourite upcomming bands, but also to see huge stars perform very intimate concerts. i recently saw buddy guy here and it was amazing. the venue is big enough for a large crowd to get the muscians going, but also small enough to allow for things ( such as comming out into the crowd) which wouldnt be possible at large venues like the albert hall.
there is a clockroomm service, but i believe you have to pay, so try and only bring the stuff you will wear throughout the concert.
