A few step away from Kensington Garden, Maggie Jones (Princess Margareth) used to come over to this place which ended up being named after her. Nothing really royal about the place, on the contrary. It is quite rustical and hearthy, but a dinner in this restaurant is a great experience.

The menu is extensive and offers a great diversity of meats, fishes, game... There is a lot of choice and everything is of quality. I personnaly opted for an aspargus and crab tart as a starter and followed up with a Steak and Mango casserole which was of a stunning taste.

The surroundings is a bit awkward, with ancient bleached wood tables, haystacks, old cupboards and hanging signs... but it creates a nice atmosphere that really differs from the stylish and design venues around.

I have been a huge fan of this reaturant for over 10 years!! Classic English food with some twists, never disapointing, great way to serve wine (huge magnums and they measure the bottle before and after - you don't have to finish the whole thing - you pay for what you drink), huge portions, friendly and kind waitstaff, great, romantic decor.
