Nothing really royal about the place, on the contrary. It is quite rustical and hearthy, but a dinner in this restaurant is a great experience.

The menu is extensive and offers a great diversity of meats, fishes, game... There is a lot of choice and everything is of quality. I personnaly opted for an aspargus and crab tart as a starter and followed up with a Steak and Mango casserole which was of a stunning taste.

The surroundings is a bit awkward, with ancient bleached wood tables, haystacks, old cupboards and hanging signs... but it creates a nice atmosphere that really differs from the stylish and design venues around.

A good address overall.

A real winner for locals and tourists alike!!!
