I stayed in the Hoxton hotel and saw something i had never seen before: a restaurant and bar within a hotel which were actually popular! I stayed on a Saturday night and this place was more packed than most of the local bars! The food is supposed to be excellent, I did not eat here however. The drinks were bog standard London prices. There was a heavy door presence, most likely because of the hotel guests coming in and out. This seems to be a cool place to go in this area. Awful awful bar. Overpriced drinks, posing clientele, terrible music. I had the misfortune of going here twice in two weeks. They also have stupid rules for smokers (can't take drinks into smoking area) - Not that I smoke but all my friends were smoking so I went outside to stand with them.. we all had to leave our drinks unattended. Last time the smoking ban made me almost lose my friend...
