BBR have been my wine broker for almost ten years now, and in that time, they have never put a foot wrong.

The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and have always taken the time to make me feel valued as a customer (despite the paltry size of my wine budget and only really dabbling in wine) - and they have refreshingly old-fashioned customer service for their account holders.

On the only two occasions there have been errors made, they fixed them immediately, without question, and upgraded the wines in question (after having checked with me that it was OK to do so).

For well-known wines, they may not be the cheapest, but their selection and en primeur range is superb.

The St James's St shop is steeped in history and they run fantastic tasting events and dinners.

Looks quite old school but don't be intimidated, everyone is very helpful, and they have a great range of wines from v cheap to (obviously) v expensive. This is the place to buy wine - awesome selection and very helpful/ patient staff. The experience alone of setting foot in this historic shop should be a rite of passage for every person who lives or visits London.

The shop was founded in 1698.
Don't be scared to enter. The guys are friendly and helpful. You can get a bottle of house rose from 4.50GBP
