La Brioche has good pastries and that might be the only reason to go there.
The coffee is quite average.
The eggs Benedict is average as well.
Service is a nightmare. Quiet and ambient place to come for a coffee or light snack. Not over pretentious as some others shops in the area so would recomment coming down and trying it out. The only negative is that friendly service is hit and miss, often the waitresses forget to smile. What I love about la Brioche is that it has this slight French "Provencal" and continental feel to it. I'm not sure if it is the high ceilings, wood floors, and colours, but it definitely gives me this impression that I'm in Provence. The atmosphere is definitely a relaxed one where you can sit and read your paper whilst sipping a warm coffee.

The staff is friendly but not very fast in serving you, which I guess is an advantage if you are happy to sit in there for a coffee and not be bothered. The place is quite popular with young professionals and young families. People drop by for cappuccinos, cakes, salads, juices, but especially for their brunch menu which has great bruschettas. What I like about their bruschettas is how they carefully use pesto or basil with fresh tomatoes.

I understand that La Brioche has jazz events from time to time and are looking at having poetry readings, which would be a very nice addition to have.
