There is free entrance to the through the looking glass tunnel and a japanese calligraphy exhibition also with free entrance. You can eat on site either by taking your own packed lunch as we did, or in the onsite facilities. So much to see it is hard to pick a favorite, a quality museum.

Sometimes it a visit to a specific exhibition ( The Golden age of Couture, Vivenne Westwood Kylie) but more often than not its a couple of hours spent in one of the many galleries, sculpture, photography and asia, fashion, textiles and jewellery even revisiting time after time you always discover something new. When your hungry pop along to the Morris Gamble and Poynter rooms cafe which is the first museum cafe in the world and admire the amazing tile decor while you eat. entrance to the museum is free (with donation boxes) special exhibitions have an entrance charge
do go along and spend a few hours there

The museums collections are unrivalled because of their diversity. You will be able to look around and discover around 3000 years' worth of amazing stuff. Most of the world's richest cultures are represented here. you will see collections of ceramics, furniture, fashion, glass, jewellery, metalwork, photographs, sculpture, textiles and paintings. It is truly breath taking and well worth a visit. There are also free guided tours which we went on and they are roughly every hour at half past the hour. This is a wonderful day out more for adults than kids though.

As with so many London museums, there is so much to see, itâ¬"s worth returning several times. One of the especial highlights of the museum is the Raphael Cartoons, a series of seven tapestries painted by Raphael to which a vast room is dedicated. Itâ¬"s worth noting that these are mirror-images, as they were worked on from behind, so itâ¬"s an interesting exercise to take a pocket mirror and look at how Raphael would have been working on them. This is just one of the huge number of sections of a great museum.

My first impression was...wow. A truly magnificent building, absoloutely massive and really nice to look at. Inside, it's like a maze but something for everyone. I'm not particularly into fashion but you could only be intruged by some of the exbits on display. There's everything from sculpture to architecture, Asia (I focused here, really interesting), jewellery, glass, photography and textiles. Also several nice cafes (gorgeous cakes) and you can sit outside by the 'paddling pool'. Shops pretty good also. Not bad for a free day out!
