Fab oriental restaurant by mithvingiel

It was great sitting and eating traditional chinese/japanese food with chopsticks and the food tasted delicious! If you check out their website you will often find great offers on to save you money when you eat there. We had a buy one get one free voucher which made our meal all that more great. I would definitely recommend eating here if you love food of the orient and want a restaurant that feels a little more authentic, just ignore some of the waiter who obviously are from Europe.

Nicer than the Leicester Square One by hither

Review by hither

Rating: 5.00
Tags:
Although my very first Wagamama experience was in the Leicester Square branch, I have now been to quite a few, both in this country and abroad.

This is one of my favourites I think. Like the Leicester Square one, it is downstairs, but there is generally a shorter queue because this is rather more tucked away - although it is still extremely central if you know where you are going and worth a walk even if the Leicester Square one seems closer.

It has the standard long tables and benches, and also quite a few little alcoves for more private dining if you are lucky - I had a romantic birthday meal here once with my now husband (although in some ways I sort of missed the communal eating and the great eavesdropping opportunities you normally get at Wagamamas!)

It feels more spacious than the LS branch, and I also prefer the toilets, which are unisex and always spotlessly clean.

The food is of course standard Wagamama fare - which is pretty good. I am not a big fan of very spicy food, and I am not good at making decisions, so I generally plump for the Wagamama Ramen because that includes chicken, fish, vegetables, and even an egg, and is tasty and filling. If I am feeling flush I might have a side dish but I normally decide that they are overpriced and I would rather save space for a pudding. My husband often has the salmon Ramen, which has a bit more of a kick to it, and comes with a very decent sized portion of salmon.

So, next time you are in central London and crave noodles, stretch your legs a bit and see if you can cut down your queuing time!
