Ping pong is a great dim sum restaurant with a difference. The decor is modern and stylish but still comfortable enough to spend a whole Sunday afternoon there. The list of dim sum is good - not the most comprehensive ever, but certainly good enough so that everyone can find several things they like. You are given a list and a pencil and mark your choices. The food arrives in wicker baskets and while the waiter tells you which is which it's easy to forget! The food is good and excellent value. As other reviewers have mentioned the jasmine tea is a real treat to watch and not bad to drink either! The cocktail list is also good and while I'm not sure that cocktails and chinese food are a classic combination, if you have time they are definitely worth trying after your meal. ok the dim sum is ok-good, had better ones (dim t) but your are not going to Ping Pong only for the Dim Sum, the design, especially in this branch is amazing. It is a beautiful place to stay and you can even watch the chef banging the dough to make it happen... The ordering system is funny, you mark vâ¬"s on a piece of paper and then you get a pile of plates- it is very difficult to know which one is yours... I think it is because you usually forget what you have ordered... it is difficult to remember 4-5 different dishes ... ok maybe my memory is not what it used to be :) yes I agree with Hugo- the jasmine tea is a highlight... it is just beautiful to see the seed coming to life in your transparent long glass. I usually get some tea seeds to take away- they are £1 each... Good, but let's not overdo it. A reasonable selection of dim sum at moderate prices. If you like dim sum then you are onto a winner.

The selection is a little limited if you like a big variety of your dim sum but there is enough to keep you happy.

The formula (and it is a formula because they have another one in Westbourne Grove) is a simple and effective one. The decor is modern, clean and pretty well done.

The jasmin tea has a nice touch that the jasmin ball unfolds and creates a floating seaweed like appendage in your drink that is quite a novelty. Bad description, you'll have to see it yourself.

I love Ping Pong! I have only been a couple of times but am already madly in love with the place, and the food!

I have been to the one in Westbourne Grove and the one near Liberty, and both are very nice and serve very good food. You start ordering a few...and end up with a asking for more and more and more...in fact the food is delicious and the atmosphere very nice.
