Eccentric eatery in E8 by niamh49

There are a number of unusual alcoves, including a 'pod' which seats 4, and little eyeries at the top of a staircase.

The food is good, and reasonalby priced, although portions could be a little more generous. Dishes are mainly French inspired with a few daily specials. The house wine is fine also. Toilets feature murals not recommended for the ultra-prudish! A fun place for a very unusual night out, worth booking in advance at weekends.

The little hideaway tables up stairs are amazing too. So this place has plenty of character. The food is wonderful here. We went on a sunday lunchtime and my companion had the roast dinner and said the beef was the best she's ever tasted. I had pan fried sea bream and that was excellent too. The starters and desserts were also well presented. Everything is very reasonably priced (you'd pay three times as much in the West End for the same food), and the service is also excellent. Highly recommended, just watch out for the sexily decorated toilets!
