My family had previously been and had a great meal. I personally was most disappointed with the standard. Service was hurried, the waitress was overbearing. The food bore no comparison to the two meals my mother & brother had previously enjoyed there, despite ordering the same two meals! The previous time the vegetables were spectacular, yesterday they were ordinary and my mother did not eat them. Are Saturday nights best avoided? Set in open countryside overlooking a golf course, wooded area and meadowland, this pub represents some of the best features to be found anywhere in the Arundel area in terms of immaculate cleanliness, quality food, ales and an admirable garden.
