Review by darkice

Rating: 4.00
Tags:
At the far end of Tooting High Road, this is the less busy station on the outside as its sister tube station of Tooting Braodway, which sits literally in the middle of Tooting High Street with all the shops.

Having said that, is still can get busy and has two entrances and exits, one is on the Tooting Bec Road and the other over the road at the junction. This allows you to enter from two different areas and in some cases cross the road underneath it rather than at the lights above, thus avoiding green lights and weather conditions till you get outside.

There are four automated ticket/cash machines and a ticket office and staff around in needs be and half a dozen barriers to enter and exit.

Two long escalators take you straight down onto the northbound and southbound carriageways just opposite each other and trains come frequently and you have a choice of taking the Bank branch or the Charing Cross branch, as the line divides into two after Kennington (and again at Camden).

You have many buses to choose from to get here, depending on which direction you are travelling from, these include the 249 and 319 from Streatham side. Others run along and towards Tooting Broadway at the crossroads.
