Sometimes you go somewhere and you want to start writing your review immediately to tell others about it. Ethel's kitchen is just such a place - their motto of "good food - no fuss" is pretty spot on but it doesn't do justice to their friendly staff.

Ethel's is a rustic style cafe that stands out in its charm on Blatchington Road and I feel drawn to go back there when I am nearby.

It got my attention when I had a Parisian standard croissant in the heart of hove and top quality jam on my toast. Ok, so I may be easily pleased but they care about how they do things here and ensure they have good ingredients.

Apparently they serve Roast dinners every Sunday too, have homemade cakes and a kids menu.
