This is my all-time favourite coffee shop anywhere. It's got a great atmosphere, nice music, friendly staff. The coffee comes in their own, chunky pottery which you can buy at the cafe too. The cinnamon scones are just a plate of heaven, warm and buttery and amazing on a winter's day and the sandwiches and cakes great too. It's the kind of place people just chat all afternoon on the sofa, or meet to knit or discuss new and crazy ideas. And the most amazing thing is the whole place is run as a not-for-profit, with all the takings going to social projects locally and abroad. They serve up dinner on Christmas day for people with nowhere else to go. Many of the staff are volunteers. So you just feel fantastic spending money here.
