Review by sakura

Rating: 4.00
Tags:
Ive been meaning to go to this place for sometime so evenutally myself and a group of friends eventually got together for friends leaving bash there.
The restaurant is really niceley done up, it certainly builds up your expectations on the food side. A lot of money has been spent here, the main feature being a large central kitchen where all the food is freshly cooked. There were around 30 of us and we pretty much had everything they had to offer, worthy of mention is the Chinese Stir fry, the indian chicken tikkas and fresh nan which went down pretty well. A great feature we thought was the live grill on the italian side where you got italian chicken parmazan cooked freshly amongst other a la carte items, not something other buffet restaurants do. The variety of dishes is good, cocktails were great and we really had a good time. The staff were ever so helpful and special thanks to manager for accomodating us on such short notice.

A health hazard by dafinki

And they were right.

Kitchin is a good looking restaurant, there's no doubt about that. Despite the glossy sheen, I'm wary of places that attempt too much at once. Indian, Chinese, Thai and Italian? Hm. Well, it didn't fail to disappoint. The food was uninteresting and strictly in the only-if-you're-starving category. The cuts of meat were the cheapest, the dishes were mostly filler.

What was really worrying was how ill my partner and I became after eating there. The food upset our stomachs quite badly, but we were prepared to put this down as a one off. However, a group of friends went this week and they suffered the same fate.

Health inspectors reading this: put this place on your radar, please!

When we got there we saw a beautifully decorated restaurant with a central kitchen right in the dining area. The place serves chinese, indian, thai & italian cuisines in buffet and some dishes a la carte. Ive got 3 ravenous kids and between us we sampled dishes from all the sections. We found the food freshly cooked and tasted of good quality, the deserts were great and even a sweets counter if you fancy a cola cube or 2! The meal cost £12.95 for adults and £5.95 for kids - great value considering whats on offer and the fact its eat as much as you like as well. I thouroghly recommend this restaurant due to the great price and quality of food on offer. My family and i loved the concept and the fact it managed to keep my kids varying taste buds satisfied was a testament to the food on offer. The staff were really friendly and looked after the kids needs even though they were pretty full the night we went visited.
