As a single woman I have been patronised by small local garages or to avoid hanging around in back street garages have paid outrageous prices at dealerships. There was an article in the EK Mail about a new garage set up by a married couple where the emphasis was on service. To save money (I'm a teacher) I went along and was amazed, firstly there was a clean warm waiting area where the mechanics were not allowed. When I was told that there would be a 2 hour wait while a tyre was delivered, the receptionist drove me to the EK shopping centre then called my mobile and came back to pick me up exactly 2 hours later.
