Ice cream you can test by faders321

Review by faders321

Rating: 5.00
Tags:
Ice cream is one of my favourite foods and it comes in lots of different flavours which is what makes it so great. I often find that whilst I am out shopping I will get hungry and want some ice cream and so thatâ¬"s when I visit Scoop. I think itâ¬"s one of the best ice cream parlours there are. The great thing about it is that you can test the ice cream before you buy it, only a tiny bit but still it helps you to decide which one you want to buy. I personally loved most of the tester samples but in the end I managed to chose one. It was delicious and the quality of the ice cream was superb, very creamy and extremely tasty, 10 out of 10.

Tasty, tangy gelato by sue

Review by sue

Rating: 4.00
Tags:
What do you do when you've had a big lunch, and later you are strolling the streets of Covent Garden when suddenly you spy a place that is supposed to serve the best gelato in town. You do what you have to do, don't you, and eat some, full belly or not.

So we rocked into Scoop, not in top ice cream eating form unfortunately, but keen to sample at least one flavour anyway. The gelato looked lovely and creamy, and there weren't too many flavours - when there is it makes it impossible to choose and you also wonder how long some of them have been sitting there... But there was still enough choice to make our decision difficult. Thankfully we were able to have a couple of small tastes before making our final choice.

In the end I just had a single serve of Lemon sorbet. It was very lemony and tangy and I liked it. Though next time I will be having some of that incredibly dark chocolate one, and perhaps some of the coffee... or the panna cotta... or the nougat... or some of each!

Love real gelati? This is the place! by Thembilina

Review by Thembilina

Rating: 4.00
Tags:
I have always loved good quality ice-cream. On recent trips to Rome and Sicily, my appreciation for the stuff quadrupled. So when I heard about a new(ish) gelateria in London, I went to go and check it out....

Scoop is run by an Italian and the gelati is gorgeously displayed just like you would see in Italy where it swirls and folds in its tub and you can see whole chunks of ingredients eg cookies/hazlenuts etc

The ice-cream is real. My chocolate icecream actually tasted of chocolate and was creamy and rich.

There are the usual flavours(choc, coffee and vanilla) but some unusual ones too, my friend had a scoop of'fig' which was smooth and light to the palette.

You get two scoops for £2 so its worth trying out more than one flavour.

The only very tiny grumble I have was that when we went on Saturday the music that was playing was really noticeable - in a bad way. There was this rnb/base vibe going down and I just couldn't help thinking that they could have some more traditional Italian music or something playing, which might have created a better atmosphere.

But all in all, if you love icecream you will love Scoop!
